MY VISION OF THE FUTORE

Post by Genghis Khan »

Or less dramatically a FO3 storyline.

It is a time of civil war on the wastes, after centuries peace and prosperity the NCR and it's rulers have become fat and overly bureaucratic the crime rate is shooting up and raider attacks have increased ten fold using this time of chaos the former senator Haruch'nag led a rebellion against the NCR with the help of several frustrated Generals and raider clans calling has new forces NCE (New Californian Empire)
The Shi had become a blossoming advanced civilisation that was until the rise of the NCE. NCE tanks rolled into the city demanding the surrender of all military units the Shi refused a battle commenced that reduced San Fran to rubble despite The Shi's superior weapons they where simply over whelmed. Some people tried to rebuild there live in San Fran while others left to found new villages in the wastes.
Frank Horrigan did survive the blast or more precisely an arm and his head did, after some rebuilding he managed to get back on his feet. He planed on looking for the last remnant’s of the enclave and get revenge on the chosen one, or at least that’s what he would have done if it wasn't for a chance meeting with the young Haruch'nag...
Arroyo has been massacred, attacked with napalmed from vertibirds and charged by a battalion of Flame Gecko Riders, Arroyo didn't stand a chance. Not attacked by the NCE but by the NCR in a desperate attempt to give good news to the people at home no one survived the massacre except a baby boy and a baby girl rescued by one of the slightly less hardened NCR Gecko Rider Troopers. He later deserted and headed for the now unoccupied Vault 7 in Washington State more people arrived later, Refuges, from the raging war in the south.
The Ghouls have now advanced heavily in genetic engineering in a quest to cure their infidelity and have succeeded. The ghouls have become very wise and live beautiful huge underground living cities. They are suspicious of strangers but given enough warning can be quite welcoming but since the NCE came to power no outsider with few exceptions are allowed in the there cities.
All mutants and midgets are being rounded up by NCE and sent to special "work" camps strong mutants are treated as slaves while week ones are exterminated. The few midgets that have survived have migrated north and founded a small city in an ancient abandoned mine
Though you may look in despair at the incompetent NCR and the evil NCE there is a small but growing third force known as The New Democratic Order of New Californian (TNDONC or simply NDC New Democratic Order) they use guerrilla tactics to attack both sides in an attempt to save as many lives as possible.
The super mutants (or Nightkin as they now prefer to be known) numbers where beginning to drop. That was until a slightly insane scientist called Jerry Archer managed to work out a way to make them fertile again using stem cells from unborn foetuses he hoped to create an army to rule the world but all he got was a sore head’ after the mutants escaped. The Nightkin now live in the east where the radiation is way to strong for humans to go.
Of course all of this is in fact is irrelevant. Whispers of an unstoppably powerful evil are coming from the north that will destroy all in its path. Some believe them to be ghosts of the soldiers from the Great War others believe them to be invaders from the moon but all agree they are coming...soon.

That wasn't all bad. Maybe it's a bit too ehm "snhinning". Just polish it here and there, make it more "rusty" that it fits Fallout universe better, wipe out NCR (i think Raiders can handle that). And finally place it a bit closer to the others Fallouts in storyline - standard 80 years.
And maybe make it a bit less complex.

Whatever they will say - it's good to read some new story again. :)

The name, "Haruch'nag", was enough for me.

"FALLOUT 3-KLINGON ATTACK"
he he, Now I think about it it is pretty funny

The name, "Haruch'nag", was enough for me.
I was going to add a load of stuff about him being tribal shaman but maybe i should change his name to something like 'James Willis'. On its own it sounds like something from a crappy Sci-fi spin-off.

wipe out NCR (i think Raiders can handle that).
Well that’s basically what I’m doing or at least in the process of doing and i quote:
Haruch'nag led a rebellion against the NCR with the help of several frustrated Generals and raider clans calling his new forces NCE (New Californian Empire)
And finally place it a bit closer to the others Fallouts in storyline - standard 80 years.
Well NCR came into power soon after FO1 There are 80 years between FO1 and 2 so 80 years after FO2 equals 160 years so it doesn’t have to be that far in the future for NCR to have ruled for centuries.

I don't think that as fragile and isolated structure as NCR can pass the test of time. Throughout history every empire after its golden age fell apart. New California Republic will be certainly destroyed by organised groups of raiders, remnants of the Master's Army, Deathclaws and such. Who has conquered the Rome? - barbarians, they have a great power and their regular attacks can squash just every defences.

Your 'Vision of the Futore' is a bit flawed.
Okay, first I don't think centuries of peace and prosperity is possible in the wastelands. I'd rather see NCR destroyed by the time Fallout 3 begins. I like the part where the Shi get destroyed. Frank Horrigan got blown to pieces when he fought against the Vault Dweller. He got blown to even smaller pieces when the Enclave got destroyed. No more Frankie. It'd be sad to see New Arroyo being destroyed after all the work you did for it in Fallout 2, I say let it remain intact. Gecko Rider Troopers, doesn't sound very fallouty. The ghouls shouldn't become a huge faction in Fallout, they belong to the sewers and scrapyards being forever pestered and tormented by us 'normals'. OK, maybe not exactly that, but huge underground living cities would be rather difficult to imagine. Mutants fled west, they'd rather die than work as slaves or miners. Again, that's something where Fallout 2 failed(Broken Hills). The New Democratic Order blabla.. Democracy and organized societys doesn't belong to Fallouts in my opinion. We need towns with leaders like Junktown in Fallout, still the best town in the Fallout series IMO.
Your last paragraph about mutants and stuff is OK. I'd love to fight against a mutant threat in Fallout 3. Again.
