Actually it looks better... IE, you don't get the JPG artifacts in PNG... PNG am lossless.
Not that it exactly matters with the picture chosen for a sample
Oh and I think we need a TWB vs Mr. T comic.

Well gee if you wanna convert all the files to .png and email them to me then go ahead I won't mind.

PNG can change the brightness/contrast of the pic
