Looking good.

Looks like a neat little spell to know when you get surrounded.

Well, I would say it's fair. Nothing too impressive, in these days of 3D eye-candy, but it gets the job done... and doesn't do a bad job of it.

The problem of magical attacks is that a still frame doesn't do them justice. Look at Arcanum, with some very nice looking spells, you need to see the movement before you get a sense.

Only thing that really annoys me, from what I have seen in the screenshots so far, is how dark the game is. It seems everything is in dark buildings, or takes place in the middle of the night. Wonder if that is how the game really is, or just what screenshots they have released so far.

Yeah, the screenshots look pretty fucking dark, I have to admit (only a blind man wouldn't.) but there are some better screenshots, like the two that were on some site, I forget what... it had a picture of a giant phallic shaped crystal and lots of neat Autumn gradients on the leaves on the trees.

You can see it at the Lionheart Chronicles at www.rpgplanet.com/lionheart

They're the only couple of screenshots that I've bothered to put up, because they're the only ones that exhibit Lionheart's new improved (sharper and brighter) color pallette.

The screenshots that the RPGVault posts every week are several months old; they just received them in bulk some time ago and are posting them once a week, one at a time.
