That doesn't mean the fans can't be whiny. I remember at the first dev chat, there was a surprising amount of messages in caps about whether or not the game should have a pause button. And we all remember that news post by Killzig with Saint Proverbius' response to the pause advocates.

I personally think we should post a poll for who we think is the stupidest fanboys and get Fallout to vote.

You'd be surprised how many threads there are on the Lionheart forum at BIS about real time with pause STILL.

As for their stupidity, as least we don't have people like Visceris in our community, who preaches up and down that games like IWD2 will be the death of BIS because it's a dungeon crawler and not an open ended RPG, then goes out and buys IWD2 and starts telling BIS people how awesome it is. How stupid is that? Considering he does that with most of the BIS games, he's doing that with Lionheart now, I'd consider that rude. In fact, he said this on IRC:

<Visceris> You know, even with all my criticism of Lionheart I am still going to buy the game.

Visceris also thinks Fallout 3 should use the D&D d20 character system. :roll:

Ain't that the truth. I have a friend who is an operator in #AmericasArmy and he tells me wonderful stories about Counter Strike goons that troll the channel constantly.

Blizzard fans are a rough bunch, too. You should see the month-long shitstorm that appears at community sites whenever a patch is released for Diablo II. It's quite scary, yet beautiful at the same time.

Well as for Black Isle games yeah i guess Fallout fans are most badmouthed. That's probably because they are REAL fans who love the game and not some losers who love Lionheart already. They are also aware that their game is the best rpg ever and anyone who says otherwise is a stupid bitch. Who can blame them for telling the truth
