Basic quests

A conversation with OTB, brought it up in another thread, I was thinking, does anyone know all the basic quests you could have in a game like FoT?

Basically I think it really boils down to four types:

Go kill/destroy X item/person.
Go get Y item.
Go speak to/flip switch on Z person/device.
Go to XX Location.

After that it's how you put the details together that makes the difference between cliche/unispired tripe, or a stimulating/challenging gaming experience.

Well you could add one more:

5. Fix something or use item on entity.

Hm ,sounds limiting, I can't figure out how come I devised a hundred of these already! 8O
Anyway thanks, it will probably help me to organise them to groups better.

Yeah, if you break them down to the very basic elements I think that is all you have. Of course you can combine these elements to give a greater variety.
