Interview with Fallout Tactics' composer

Post by Kreegle »

[ -> N/A]

Inon Zur was the guy responsible for the atmospheric music in Fallout Tactics, and a site called Gamedaily have an interview him. There's lots of stuff about how he started, what he's done, how he makes the music - so if you're interested, check it out here. the intro blues suck - as for the rest... I can't say that I remember, and for me thats a stamp of aproval - but it was mostly ambient SFx in the background.

and the music on the site got some qualities.

and as for the intro - they used classics in FO1 and 2 with Louie and the Ink Spots, and they are of a higher class then InonZur. No wonder the intro got much worse in FOT.

I was thinking of the ambient music. It would have been a much better thing for them to recycle the Fallout music.

Never listened to the music that much. Too busy either paying the game or listening to my own playlist of music.

But some of the battle music wasn't bad...

lol u r so clevar, please stop before I have a comedy-induced heart attack

Having just played through FOT, I can safely say the music was on par with FO 1 & 2 (the ambient stuff)

Still, there are many games composers that don't ever get to do anything else.

Plus i liked the ambient portion very much. It's all up to personal taste I guess.

OMFG so hes the guy who took the fantastic escaflowne score and replaced it with synth rubbish.

Lets take a REAL orchestra with classical music and replace it with crap synth classical music!!!

Well, the FoT music wasn't that special, not crap though. I guess it fits to the overall quality of the game. :wink:
Looks like Interplay is a regular employer...
