<b>Cabal</b> just told me that <A href="http://rpgvault.ign.com">RPG Vault</a> has posted their first <a href="http://rpgvault.ign.com/articles/374/37 ... html">Desk of DaVinci</a> thing which covers aspects of <A href="http://lionheart.blackisle.com">Lionheart</a>'s setting. Here's a taste of it:<blockquote>Since the time of the Disjunction, the Rock Titan has been the bane of good travelers seeking to cross the Pyrenees Mountains. These monstrously immense creatures use their incredible strength to raid human settlements and waylay caravans. Little more than brutish thieves, the Rock Titans delight in the torment of all humankind. For years, the Knights Templar of Spain and France fought to keep the Rock Titans from expanding beyond the Pyrenees. What makes them especially dangerous is their vicious cunning. Rock Titans often plan clever ambushes along roads and mountain passes. It is rumored that some of the elder titans wield the ability to cast spells, though no chronicler has survived to verify such detail</blockquote>Big monsters made of ROCK! YAY!

Yay! They're breaking with tradition by making the GIANT ROCK CREATURES SMART! What's next? Stoner elves? Unangsty members of the clergy?

Nothing like a slow-moving localized apocalypse to really make you think about proper data backup procedures.

They'd be called Earth Golems or something like that in an IE game. It's gonna be interesting to see how many critters they'll be able to create themselves instead of using the D&D monster manual and renaming them. It would suck to see the familiar dwarves and elves and shit instead of something original. Especially now when they can create what they want, without D&D limitations.

Sadly it's getting kinda hard to even create genuinly new monster lately as pretty much everything's been covered. And if not everyone will start saying it has it's roots from some other creature anyway...
Not that I like the whole idea of giant rock creatures... Maybe they look like toads or some weird shit instead of looking humanoid, at least that'd be kinda new.
