Interplay's website has a new poll up about what game on the list has the best music. Here's the list and results at the time of me posting this:
Diablo - 14%Icewind Dale - 18%Metroid - 7%Fallout - 61%
What?! Not Turrican on that list?!Thanks to Guest on RPG Codex for the heads up.PS: The above mentioned Guest is Rosh from NMA.

Sure, make fun of the point that I went through the link you made to get there and the forum cookie wasn't quite valid that way.Saint_Proverbius wrote:Thanks to Guest on RPG Codex for the heads up.

I suspect they plan to ask about several game aspect over the next few weeks. "Which game has the best gameplay?" "Which game has the best story?" "Which game has the best graphics?" Etcetera. And when they see that Fallout wins in every category, they might just realize there are people out there who might maybe want to see a new Fallout instead of a new Icewind Dale.
They probably meant to put Turrican in place of Metroid. Turrican 2 has better music anyways.

The synthpop/EBM in Turrican 2 was pretty awesome.
You can download the high quality versions of those songs from mp3.com. I've forgotten the composer's name, but he's got a site there.

I just realized how much I loved the music style of Fallout 1 & 2. The intro music choices were PERFECT. The general game music never felt repetitive to me. Best of all they put the right music in the right places to set the appropriate mood.
I usually turn off music in all the games I've played, especially RPG's. However I was enthralled by Fallout's music. I still find myself humming some of it now and then.

Anyone else find that piano music that comes in and then fades away in Redding eerie?
