Just to end the week in a proper gamers fashion I went back and played this through for the third time, using the Scenario As Posted. :D

Took about 12 hours playing time.

Shaddow killed everyone he could, collected and cached the weapons and ammo and such near the starting area, then added ALL his gear to the pile before turning in the last items.

Gave Shaddows wet suit to Sticks, a sniper rifle to Fred, the environmental armor to Donna, and so on, giving everyone what they could best use.

Began by having someone use the detonator to set off the last of the charges planted by Shaddow. Cleaned out the reavers outside the moat, entered the building at the top of the north stairs via the tunnels, then carefully worked my way through the complex in a counter-clockwise direction.

I would suggest that those who have never used a ninja type character, which is what Shaddow is, give him strenuous workout. With his Silent Running, 300+ Sneak, High effectiveness SHIV, you can kill a walking sentry by running up behind him when he pauses at a Waypoint. One slice, one dead reaver. Any solitary sleeping reaver can be killed with no danger at all, standing sentries too. Given the conditions of the scenario (you can't be seen) I saved before every attack, as there may be someone who can see the reaver being killed who is not obvious or shown on the "radar". I essentially played this using a "save every 30 seconds whether you need to or not" philosophy. Slow but effective.

Fred did 80% of the killing in the second half of the scenario using a sniper rifle. Used Sticks as the sneaking scout to locate the targets and unlock things. (One of the things Shaddow did in the first half was to UNLOCK everything he could get to, to save time in the second half.) Gina used up all the grenades I found to clean out a lot of guys on the other sides of walls and fences. Donna with a Lewis gun came in handy to kick in some doors, as with the environmental armor and her high hit points she is the only one of the six who can take a major hit and not die.

Most of the time it was one character out in front, doing whatever, with all of the others well behind hidden in a building Prone, Sneaking and Pacific. As I implied in an earlier post, this is really a series of tiny single character adventures more than a team scenario. There were only a few times when I set up a firing squad type line to shoot it out using the entire team.

OVERALL Evaluation? Playable, but difficult and a bit tedious. Requires a very careful, methodical playing style, and MANY, MANY SAVES.

Max-V: I would recommend fewer locked doors, fewer bobby traps, a solution to the people firing through floors problem, and a team with better armor and somewhat higher stats, and more medical supplies. The density of bad guys is very good, their equiptment is appropriate, plenty of moving patrols and dogs to keep you on your toes. The locked doors and booby traps really slow things down, and make it so you can't afford not to save and save and save.

I just wanted to add a quick note to say that despite the length of my earlier comments I DO RECOMMEND this scenario to everyone. Its got an interesting plot line, a challenging situation, and requires you to use several playing styles to complete it. I will definitely give any more scenarios that Max-V posts a look.

Yea, I've got a good bit of maps out there - Deathclaw Desert Chapters 1-5, Slaughter Springs, the Rebellion 3-map mini-campaign, the Jailbreak 3-map minicampaign, and this Revenge1 map :D

Work on Revenge2 is coming along... slowly, but it's coming...

My site doesn't have all my maps on it - only the mini-c's and Revenge. IIRC both DaC and NMA have 'em all :D
