<b>Eledain</b> dropped in a message saying that he's working on a Fallout mod which'll use the Unreal Tournament 2003 engine - nice! It's called "Brotherhood" - but there aren't many details on it yet... the "about" page on the <a href="http://www.jk2edit.com/" target="_blank">Brotherhood website</a> says:<blockquote><em><b>Brotherhood: A Post Nuclear UT2003 MOD</b> is an Unreal Tournament 2003 MOD based in the Fallout world.
We are currently deciding what will go into the MOD, check out the forums to help us with this. The decisions that need to be made are:<blockquote><li>Singleplayer, Multiplayer or both?</li>
<li>Which weapons should be included? </li>
<li>Where should it be set? </li>
<li>Who should be the main factions? </li>

Heh yeah, that Morrowind-becoming-UT2k3 mod... When I first read the topix I thought it'd be the same guy as that Morrowind mod, but well, so much for that.
Coudn;t care less about a deathmatch Fallout UT2k3 mod... Wasteland Half-Life was pretty much that already. Well, it's a more recent engine so it might be a bit more interesting/

I don't think most mods ever get finished, unless there's a large and active community behind it. I'd like to hear from them when the game is in a playable stage and actually view real in-game screenshots.

I think alot of mods are driven by the wrong things. People who just wants to gain respect within a certain fanbase is never gonna finish their mod, it'll fail sooner or later. The people who are gonna suceed with their mods are the people who can work alone, without constant praise from "the community". If a few complaints and a little critique is enough to send a modteam packing, would they ever have suceeded?

As for the SP thing as Rosh pointed out UT is more capable of handling SP games. It will do anything Unreal 1 could but better, actually with the OldSkool mod/mute you can play U1 in UT. Besides Na Pali the mod Thievery is extremely good in SP. Has to be the best AI I've seen in a mod. Actually its better than the majority of commercial games AI.
Now as for this mod I'll believe when I see it. I've seen so many UT mods that progressed past a website and a few 3D renders. I also find it odd that they even have to make a descion about making it MP or SP. It's been pretty clear all along that UT2003 is a MP game and that Unreal2 will be SP whenever its released.
