problem with movies

in about 80% of the times i run into a movie, i get and illigal operation msg.
i have this problem with every Black Isle game i have (exept one, BG2:ToB).
I'm runnin win2k with GF4 128mgs. I had the same problem with my pervious videocard, RIVA TNT2 32mg. I've tried installing all the latest drivers n DirectX, but no good.

Help me ppl before i send my pal Dogmeat to rip you to shreds

I used to have this problem with Fallout 2.
Re-installing Windows (98 SE, in my case) solved it.

Hmm, can't you turn movies off somehow in BIS games?

Luckily they crash 'only' 80% of the times, that's better than 100%.
