Vault52.net update

Post by Kreegle »

[ -> N/A]

The fanciest Fallout site of them all, Vault52.net, has been updated! Says Altrawave7:
That's right, there has been an Update to the Vault at Vault52.net more rooms and a new corridor has been added, as well as a diary room for characters to log there adventures in the Vault! So head on over and check it out!
Obey the commands of Altrawave and go see it for yourself. Or else... you'll miss it. Thanks Altrawave!

Impressive work, as always. The interface could be made more user-friendly in the next update though. :)

Aha, what do you mean ? I was hoping it was pretty clear and easy-to-use, so could you please tell me what you like to see changed ?

If it's about the buttons not having any text on them, well, after 1 time clicking them all, you know exactly what they all are for ;)

But yeah, there still is a lot of work that needs to be done. Sometime. Somewhere. Now go and bug Chris Avellone about Fo3 ;)

Cheers,

Phil

Well, it is clear and easy to use, but the various windows are a bit confusing and some don't seem to have any function at all(?). Maybe some tips for beginners like what to do, where to start, what the goal is etc..
I guess part of the fun is to figure it out. :)

Indeed, it's not like 'hi there, this is your quest, use that application, find that item and you will succeed'. Nope, you're all alone there, except for some writings from an ancestor who escaped the vault several years ago. If it appears the power generator isn't working, you will have to fix it using several ways (including skill, items, pure luck, etc ..), but noone is gonna tell you that the power generator needs to be fixed, because otherwise you won't be able to find other things, etc .. something like real life.

As for the windows, the problem is that I didn't know how to swap depths etc (I'm a bit further now, but it's still giving me a headache). Nonetheless, evey window has it's functions, and it should be functional.
