Next Level Gaming has posted a <A href="http://www.nlgaming.com/reviews/4274/in ... >review of Soldiers of Anarachy. They gave it a Four green thingies out of six rating, and here's part of it:

The gist of the game is that you start with 4 soldiers, armed with 9mm pistols on a recon mission. You have to control them through the hostile world, slowly building up your weapons, as well as gaining transport vehicles, tanks, and aircraft. But as I stated earlier, this is not your normal RTS. You have no gold or wood or ore to collect, but you must manage your troops and their supplies in order to be successful. Run out of bullets, and die! You will find weapons and ammunition at certain spots in the game, but I found most of my equipment from dead enemies. You can also barter for vehicles and supplies from the local ?seeker?, the name of the scavenging traders who sell ?stuff from the old days.? These guys have many items you won?t be able to buy, and that makes them an important part of equipping your soldiers. You can lead up to 12 soldiers at a time, and each soldier will slowly gain abilities, such as demolition expert or first aid, etc. The only problem with this is that all your hard work can go to pot if your soldier dies. All the hard work you put into them can be lost in seconds, so save often. This game has a steep learning curve, and I highly recommend going through the tutorial provided.

Odd that the reviewer keeps calling it an RTS. I thought it was a tactical game.

RTS or Tactical
how could you think it was a tactical game? SoA, Platoon, etc are all just RTSs without base building or unit creation. Not much left after that really.agreed. how could you think that was an RTS?
If you look it up in general management terms (where it comes from), tactical is something that is functioning or operting on a small and detailled daily basis (when/how) ... Operational types of management is a daily returning routine on a bigger scale.
Ermm I dunno why I had to share this
.... And I didnt even say I wuv SoA! Weee... Too bad the AI takes up so much CPU time (poor framerate now and then).
