I don't use super charcters anymore. I've finished the game about once or twice with them, but after that I just got bored with how ludicrously easy the game become.

id reccommend beating the game w/o cheating, then moving to a superchar to explore some aspects easily.... its all about exploring in interesting ways..

Just a note that you needn't a superchar to solve every quest in the game. The only real reason for a superchar is because you feel like killing everything you encounter, or not bother to think out the proper layout for your char when starting.

One of the things I loved doing in fallout, was just creating characters. Reason why I still play Fo:T a fair bit.

As for exploring the game via an interesting way, try using limitations, like finishing the game as fast as possible (current record I know of is 6 hours, which myself and some other guy got).

Or play like madmax or something, limiting yourself to the widowmaker shotgun and leather jackets, and only getting dogs :P

That's so true, just carry some stat-raising drugs with you if you need to improve your attributes for a certain occasion. If you think the game is too hard, decrease the difficulty level in game options.

I don't mean to be abusive or degrade anybody's opinion by this post, but what some people don't seem to understand is that not everyone has the same dedication to the game as they do. Maybe not everyone is willing to play the game through 200 times and with a slightly different char each time to see everything that's possible in a game of this magnitude. For instance, you may feel the need to have high intelligence to do various things, but when you reach vault city, one of the easiest ways to get into the vault is to have an int of 2 and speak with a citizen who thinks you're a servant and askes if you've been assigned to the vault. All i'm saying, is to find everything in fallout 2 legit takes much more time and effort that some people are willing to give.
Thanks for letting me vent.

You can design a character and get all the quests in a single game. That's my point.

Even with a superchar you won't find everything as you might take some wrong dialog trees, so it's a moot point saying you want one "to do everything".

You can raise/lower any of your stats using drugs too, so even if you don't have the stat needed you can still get it...

Just my personal aside. Super characters make a game boring. I've played FO & FO2 many times using different character types & have discovered that there are still things I have missed. I like that, gives me more reason to play again.

Point taken, but the Psyco drug decreases intelligence pretty badly. Not sure if the sterioids do similar.

I think the easiest way is to start combat mode and walking to the grid, past the guards. Or would that be cheating?
