well it sounds dull when you say that... but already knowing the outcome is part of the story, take for instanceSpazmo wrote:That would be dull since we already know the outcome: you lead the soldiers and their families to Lost Hills and you start the Brotherhood.
you start off in the bunker doing menial tasks, etc.. you get aske dto survey the wastes and check out the surroundings ...ye get minimal equipment and dont know what to expect... you travel around all of california finding pre-FO civilisations, villages etc... you go back to teh bunker every now and then with reports and get given new missions at an increasingly harder level.... there could be a main quest for whatever it is the bunker needs... lol waterchip, GECK, or just plain old info and a reason for the BOS to exist ... once the main quest is done, the bos is made... it could work... but would another game set in the same area actually work?
i say, if there is to be another FO game ...it should follow in the lines of tactics... with a new city/state etc.. or possibly another country, That'd be fun. besides, even if FO3 ever does go ahead, i wouldnt like for it to be set in the same way as 1 and 2 ... it should have new blood, a new plot and a new area to explore
no offense to FO1 and 2 ... they were classics
Um... I think there's a game like this already. And it's been made by Interplay. Some freaks call it "The Wasteland" or somethingavenger69ie wrote:you start off in the bunker doing menial tasks, etc.. you get aske dto survey the wastes and check out the surroundings ...ye get minimal equipment and dont know what to expect... you travel around all of california finding pre-FO civilisations, villages etc... you go back to teh bunker every now and then with reports and get given new missions at an increasingly harder level.... there could be a main quest for whatever it is the bunker needs... lol waterchip, GECK, or just plain old info and a reason for the BOS to exist ... once the main quest is done, the bos is made... it could work... but would another game set in the same area actually work?

I like the idea of brining back The Hub. I also must agree that NCR must go! Whipe them out! I don't care how!
The Mutocracy thing could probably work. It makes hell of a lot more sense then say the Humbologists of FO2. A cult, made up by the remains of the children of the cathedral making a home for them selves in the ruins of LA and the original cathedral. After all, FO2 takes place 80 years after the end of FO1. And the bomb detonated (as stated before) underground in a vault designed to be able to take on several nuclear blasts and remain sealed. I think it would be possible for members of the children of the cathedral not living in the cathedral itself (Like Jain in the Hub for example, or the guys in Necropolis for that matter) to make the remains of LA their home ones the radiation got low enough. To be close to the spirit of their now dead master.
