Mr. Handy

Post by Stealth Rabbit »

I didn't know of any ither place to post this, so I will post it here. Does anyone have Planescape: Torment? If you do, look for an armed flying toaster. Post your comments if you think it is Mr. Handy or not, because it looked like him when I saw it.

Armed flying toasters?? You mean those cube-things? Mordons?

Well, when you think about it that way... Yes, they kinda do :D
But they're a lot smarter than Mr. Handy, "who can only walk your dog".

They don't look like Mr.Handy to me, could be because of their way too happy faces.
I hated the Modron maze!

They only look vaguely like Mr. Handy, and I have a feeling that it the resemblence is coincidental.

Ah well. I dont know why they looked alike to me. Maybe I'm going nuts again. I just thought that since both of them were created by BIS, and a lot of their games have ideas transferred between them, maybe Mr. Handy made his way into PS:T. Guess I was wrong. Oh, and in Icewind Dale 2, has anyone gotten the Armageddon Chain Mail of theTester?

BIS didn't invent Modrons. Modrons and the whole Planescape setting were created by TSR, the people behind D&D.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

That's right. I guess the fact that the character creation in PS:T uses D&D-system rings (some kind of) a bell ;-)

But I got to say, that the worst books in the world are titled "Forgotten Realms"... and so on. Bleh. Just my two cents.

PS:T has another fallout reference, a spilled barrel of nuclear waste. at least I think it's a fallout reference... you can find it in the anarchist's headquarters.

Modrons are a developed race in Planescape D&D lore, not Mr.Handy easter eggs. :\

i think it's purely coincidental, Mr.handy doesnt need a face to express His emotions!.. no, that didnt make sence at all..

oh, was this just in a dream or did some Mr.handys have mini-guns attached to them?

yea, Romans right. Mordons are some clockwork creatures in planescapes, a PnP RPG where you play a dimension hopping bad@$$ mofo. They come from the dimension where everything is mehcanical. Sorry. Look for your easter eggs elsewhere. There are plenty. Go. Now.

If you don't have anything to add, then don't dig up old threads.
