Subnormal, I like weapon in your sig : ) Have you thought about turning it into a weapon sprite? By the time it's reduced down it'd make a good addition to the pipe rifle and zip gun : )

Well... the trigger system of that particular weapon is composed of three nails, a metal slip, a rubber band and a rock. When I saw it on the web site it was so funny I just had to link to it...
I'm actually considering building one to mount on the top of my desk...

I'll e-mail the people and ask if I can use it and then I'll make it into a spr....

And one more thing re: sprites... I've got the graphics of the raider armour on the ground completed, but Its fucking up big time... I only took the mutant armour and converted it to grayscale and resized it, but the bounding box cant be moved at all.. for two of the positions, the bounding box appears good, but the other two its off to a side a little... I can't move it with the x and y numbers on the top left... because then the other two boundnig boxes would get moved too.... I modified the values in the right window, but those numbers dont move the bounding box none... I hate this program!!

It would simplify things if I just put one picture for all 4 angles of the armour on the ground, but that would be being slack.

And, flamescreen ... . what kind of sprites were you going to do?
It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The "hard" is what makes it great.

Testing image linking.....

Don't sweat it, no one will ever notice. I usually use the same pic for all views. And even if you use the same bounding box it will hardly make a difference for armor. For something like tiles then it would be a problem.

Are you referring to the "ruined vault" tiles you were talking about doing a while ago? If so, I'm all for it. :D

*hehe* Maybe Deathy will make an acerbic comment about your ruined vault tiles, too... (So what if all it takes is a pallette shift, it's still more than some people do around here...)

Yes to a point at least, you could say that.

In truth, I'm not that different from Deathy. I can really relate to his comments. Sometimes all it takes is to just feel bad. I'm sure he doesn't always means what he says.

this is a major goodness crisis. Where are my pills? :)

I need sprites

Post by PaladinHeart »

Hi guys. I noticed that you were talking about making new sprites and tiles for FOT. Im working on a campaign (I still haven't gotten the first map done but its coming along) so I was wondering if I could use the dog food sprite in it?

I also need more sprites for food and stuff. Anyone know of any custom sprites and/or tiles that I could download and use? I don't really need the tiles as much but I do need a lot of new food sprites. I also need some new weapon/item sprites. For now im just discoloring the original sprites.

I would try and do it myself but im not very experienced with spray. Plus I don't have photoshop.

RE: Photoshop

If I happen to purchase photoshop from eBay. Which version would you guys recommend? What is the earliest version that can support editing these files?

I have version 5.0. If you need a few sprites done I can do them for you, just send me the jpegs of things you want. Providing that you aren't looking for animated sprites!

Cool. Thanks! I'll keep your address for whenever I find the images suitable for my mod. What are the required dimensions?

Anyone know of a good "fallouty item" artist? Im not exactly good at drawing stuff but I could sketch a particular item I need for an artist to go by. Hmm.. maybe I could have my dad do it. I'll have to check on that.
