A Devastation Q&A

Post by Kreegle »

[ -> N/A]

Woo, it looks like today is the day of post-apocalytic first-person shooter interviews! Elited.net have managed to get an interview with Vic DeLeon, Senior Producer of Devastation - here's proof:
The Arcade and Simulation settings are meant for the most replayabilty possible in a shooter. Not many games strive to give the gamer the choice to play in their own style, but Devastation certainly does. Arcade plays similar to UT2K3 but not at quite the frenetic pace. The game is more forgiving in this mode, and it is a blast. In Simulation mode, the gamer will have to pay attention to encumberance, select weapons at the beginning of each mission, encounter crosshair drift, and will find the entire experience more lifelike.
Nice. You can read the rest of the interview here - spotted at HomeLan.
