Devastation Preview Roundup

Post by Mad Max RW »

<strong>[ -> N/A]</strong>

<html><body><P>Here is a couple more previews spotted for <A HREF=http://www.devastationgame.com/>Devastation</A>, due in stores late March:</P><P><UL><LI> <A HREF=http://boomtown.net/en_uk/articles/art. ... oomtown</A> - <I>The variety in the gameplay forces you to change your playing habits depending on the mode, because of the change in even the simplest battles. Many is the time Ive enjoyed kicking an explosive barrel past some cover that a group of enemies are using to shield themselves, shooting it once to get fuel leaking from its casing and again to detonate everything.</I></P><P><LI> <A HREF=http://pc.ign.com/articles/386/386826p1 ... IGN.Com</A> - <I>The first thing you'll notice when you turn on Devastation, aside from the simplistic, easily navigable options menu, is the graphics. Imagine Unreal II, only filled without about a billion more things to interact with in the environments. Now, increase the environment sizes by a factor of ten, decrease the horrendous loading time by a factor of twenty, and then make it run smooth. Congratulations, you're playing Devastation. I've played Raven Shield, Splinter Cell, UT 2003 and Unreal II, and this one runs better than those, with even more luster than most. It's uncanny. Shadows, textures, texture detail, physics, stuff, it's all here.</I></UL></P></body></html>

I don't really have anything to say about this. I just want to say that Mad Max RW is doing a hell of a job with the news!
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

Well he's posting about EVERYTHING which is apocaliptic... And for some reason no one is complaining, unlike when Killian and S_P were doing it (which I find weird).

Seeing as there's little Fallout news though this makes for something to read as far as I'm concerned, though I'm only vaguealy interested...

One thing which I'd like is a return of the Vault13 like "sections" which were attributed to news (ie: RPG, Fallout, Local site stuff... and we could add a bunch of sections like movies, books (why not?), "other post-apoc games" and "other SPECIAL games" I guess...

I'd like to see the site get a face lift before more sections are created.

Ah yes, what happened to the new site design?

There's still some unfinished sections. Fan Art, Fan Fiction, Community Interviews, Fallout 2 p/reviews and help guides would be welcomed additions. Nice work on the Devastation section, by the way.
Heh, and Kiddie pool could update aswell. *wink wink*
