Devastation Preview Roundup
[ -> N/A]

Here is the latest batch of previews for Devastation, the upcoming FPS from Digitalo Studios:

<A HREF=http://www.gamespy.com/previews/februar ... stationpc/ target=_blank>Gamespy - Although it hadn't received much press until recently, Devastation looks like it has all the ingredients for both an engaging single-player and multiplayer game. As mentioned several times during this preview, I was particularly encouraged with the game's level design, creating real environments for players to explore without letting them venture too far off course.

EliTeD - Devastation is looking pretty tight, there are just a few flaws I hope to see fixed. Although it may be too late, but leaning around corners and shooting/peeking is something that people would do in real life and would be a wonderful addition to this game. Devastation is due to be released around the end of March and is looking to be a hit. Having both arcade and simulation gameplay, plus all of the multiplayer game modes people love, this one will bring many gamers fraggin' together. Devastation brings gaming to a new level.

Gamersclick - Digitalo Studios is looking to ship Devastation with 20 single-player levels and 12 multiplayer maps. That's a whole lot of gaming coming from a relatively new publisher. If Devastation keeps shaping up the way it seems to be, this title could be one of the top selling PC games of the year. I hope the 20 single-player levels live up to the four levels I have enjoyed so much. If so, this could Half-Life on steroids and that's without doubt a good thing. So, I suggest you keep your eyes on Devastation when it's released later this year and get devastated (please, marketing guys, don't use any cheesy lines like that).

Worthplaying also has a bunch of new screenshots. Oh, and be sure to check the developer diary at <A HREF=http://www.computerandvideogames.com/r/ ... e)id=87119 target=_blank>Computer and Video Games covering character design. Spotted at Blues News and the Devastation forums. That's enough for today.

i believe aptyp was mocking the flood of previews concerning devastation. as if we haven't read them 100x already. What's devastation? For the desired effect he should have capitalised and (TM) it like a proper press release would have.
This game is way over hyped, stay away.
