Not really. With those shit graphics and gameplay that would probably be like most other combat-heavy games, it looks doubtful. Their other console games haven't been too stellar, either.Anonymous wrote:Oh my God! Interplay is mad. But it is good for IPLY, because more people buy consol games than pc games and it will be easy money, but it isn't good for us. IPLYYeah just like X-Com enforcer.
Another franchise bites the dust
Obsidian:
Now working on Fallout: New Undermountain!
They promise to spend only a year on this title - only a year less than the original Descent to Undermountain!

No Pushover
The Sony Platform may be hungry for online titles, but I think the real bottle neck to their WWW aspirations is the lack of universal broadband.
Unless there is a title that flows faster than honey at 48-46 k, (the realistic pace of 56k copper).
I doubt that FO-E has the backing to generate a competent game.
That is not the I'play-ViV-endie way of biz'nizz.
The slacker way they kicked off the publicity for FO-E. No pride there.
If there is no 'game' for the PS2 reviewers, or it is repetitive and derivitive, the world will know. They may not be your standards, or my standards, AND, they will not suffer any foolish attempt at shovelware.
If you see FO-E start out at under $40 in Q4, slip to $30 immediately, then you know the title is judged as a loser and will soon only attract sales at $20 and under. Will volume make up for the loser pricing? Will Playstation Magizine suffer a Standard I'play patch, 100 megs?? Standard memory card is 8 megs and the real introduction of hard drives is just over the horizon, near where FF XI will launch. Patches won't save poor product.
A well recieved game will hold it's price far longer than a PC product.
I await the judgement of the console veterans on which circle of hell this lost soul decends.
Said it before, I would LOVE to be wrong: I would LOVE this to be the title to show the world the FO Universe. But, I have 'little faith". The screen shots show a "HeavyMetal-fakk2/Drunna" soft core porn stylin', Judy Strain?

And the screaching of the fairies and preaching of the fanboys will not ressurect my "belief in a just ........" It wasn't shot off in FOT. It was starved to death by lack of product......
First, show me....
Show me the money....show me the "game".
