Why not crossbows? It's a very basic compared to guns and stuff and logically tribesmen would make such weapons.

lol

Some guy convinced me of reading the first book in the trilogy of the Drow and oh lord it sucks.

It's so childish and simplistic. I mean, even I, with my simple english skills, could have written it.

I think adding a few extra practical abilities that doesn't interfere too heavily with the original fallout system.

I thought being able to skin those lizards in Fallout 2 was a nice touch.

I'm currently playing Fallout again and I must say I keep looking at mundane objects and wishing you could be a bit more versatile when it comes to using them?

I thought being able to tie someone up with the ropes you get would be interesting. It's not a huge feature or anything but it just makes the way the game is played more diverse.

Besides. I'd enjoy knocking someone out and then tying them up... only to blow their heads off at my convenience.

However. I could give up all the new features that anyone could fathom if they just keep fallout true to it's roots.

Indeed.
Behesdas primary focus should be to keep fallout fallout.
And, only after that is achieved, they could implement some goodies.
And we all know what makes fallout fallout.
So why shouldn't bethesda be able to grasp it??
If they want to, they could.
I just wish they would drop the console development part.
I think that is what made Doom3 just an average game. The limitations they brought upon themselves when deciding to make it for x-box too.
So, it turned out to be all repetative, after playing for 30minutes there just was no new things to discover.

I dont mind them making it a console game, but ONLY if they make it a PC game first, and let the console market be the group that gets fucked over.

They should grasp that the FO market is a PC market.

But somehow I dont see them doing that. Though I'd be glad to be wrong here.

I don't know, from my experiance it seems like that haven't even given a single thought to Fallout 3 yet... aside from that they will make it.

But anyways, I'd like the keeping of the old multiple dialogue tree thing whateveryouwanttocallit, or maybe a better one that allows for more options and bigger differneces depending on your int score(that is assuming they will have one at all). Also it would be nice to initiate talking in combat to people... they could refuse to talk to you depending on the person, but you could possibly negotiate your surrender, or thiers, or other similar things.

They've given enough thought to determine its gonna be released on more then just PC.

Talking to people while in combat would definetely help diplomat characters and would be awesome.

Yeah, that seems to be a pretty popular idea.

All Bethseda should do is borrow from Wasteland, not Fallout 2.

... And combat dialogue would be awesome.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. What I'm saying is that Fallout 2, while a great CRPG in it's own right, lacks what made Fallout 1 so great. We all loved Fallout 1 because it took the Cold War Retro RPG feel and ran with it. And we can say Fallout is directly inspired by Wasteland, which was full of that Cold War Retro feel we all love.

So if Bethseda blanetly copies the mood of Wasteland and takes the SPECIAL system we all adore from Fallout, there's a possibility we might have a good game in the end.

I may be waaay off course but this idea can't be worse than real-time combat, right?

The feature I want most wasn't mentioned in Fallout 1, but was referred to in both Fallout 2 and Tactics. Sadly, though, neither of those two titles actually delivered the goods.

I am, of course, talking about my burning desire to see some sloppy ghoul action.

I'd like to see weather, ie snow, rain, wind etc. Having it affect your accuracy would be nice too
