Omikron was awesome. If you liked it, I highly recommend Anachronox, chances are you'll like it.

I read a scathing review of it in CGW, and that turned me off. But Game Revolution gave it an A. I just don't know who to believe!

GameRevolution of course. They usually have it right.

On the topic of (favorite) music...

I just found out about a couple of über-kewl bands: Skyclad, Ensiferum and Turisas. Hawt damn. These are teh good. Gary Moore and Slayer are cool, too.

I agree John Petrucc, and John Myung, hell all of the band sure provide some X-E-lant progressive metal to play fallout by. I even have some of their first recordings when the sounded like Iron Maiden..now there is another great band.....and what about that crazy death metal band from Scandinavia Entombed! they rock!

I haven't listened to much Entombed or Dream Theater... I guess I'll d-load some songs so I'll get a rough idea of how they sound like.

np. Ensiferum - Old Man (Vaka Vanha Väinämöinen part I)

Entombed played a few dates in CA with 'Fear Factory' and 'Exhorder' and smoked them so bad it wasnt funny. I like their live work better than their recordings.

Yeah, some bands are like that... I know a bunch who plays a whole lot of cover songs (well, not necessarily the same thing, but anyways). The cover versions they play live sound mighty and fine, but when I go home and look for the track from the internet or borrow an album from a friend of mine with that specific song, I usually get disappointed. "What the fuck this is pop-rock hippy bullshit to cry out loud!" But when they play it live... It's like the 7th level of Heavy Metal heaven.

Could be because of my bad musical sense or their shitty covering, who knows?

Band: NIN, Miles Davis, or Charlie Parker
Track of the day: Jenny was a Friend of Mine - The Killers
Movie: Blade Runner, Unforgiven, or Way of the Gun
Non-Fallout game: Marathon: Infinity (for all you old-school mac users out there)

Oh my god, Marathon 1, Durandal and Infinity were awesome, 10 times better than Halo, IMO.

Singleplayer was weird, creep science fiction, the multiplayer was fun, the guns were satisfying, especially the shotgun.
