Well for one, I wanna see more return to retro roots. Means more radiation and lots of fucking junk to collect. I also wanna use my lighter and smoke cigs with it and light a foe ablaze.

More guns, scare ammo. More random encounters. Much more traits and perks.

There are lots of cool things I'd like to see implmented/debated, with or without the beth devs contributing to those discussions. But firstly, I can't concentrate on much else when the massive issues such as the combat mode, viewpoint and so on are undecided. Secondly, I don't think Bethsoft have even started the game yet and I think it will be at least two years, probably more, before the game is released :(

Gambling elements that justify a gambling trait.

Simple card game interface. Nothing too fancy. Wouldn't take much. Would be a nice little sub-game if you wanted to take a break or summat.

Yeah, good example. Not that I'm into playing those things for real. But definitely in-keeping with the Fallout thang.

One thing I'd like to see in Fallout is autosave. I've abandoned so many games out of frustration. :bang:

hell no, because say you want to explore a bunch of dialogue trees, you get the conversation saved over it and you can't do it again...

It depends on where you'd have the autosave triggers, going to worldmap from localmap and vice versa wouldn't be too bad (assuming they're going to have a world map) but then again several games I've played back up the autosave and quicksave slots so that even if the game has just autosaved you can still load up the previous autosave. So it wouldn't be that bad.

Your thought of not having a worldmap is horrifying...

One feature I don't want to see implemented is multiplayer.

maybe make it SP first, then try to patch a MP version on to it or something, any way that won't fuck up SP.

Understood Requiem...

Yeah, I guess they could make it single player and for those who desire a PNP adventure, can get a patch.

But Modding freedom is a must.

My wishlist:

1) those assumed that PsychoSniper posted at the beginning

2) have the Khans in the game  (and have them joinable)

3) the option to join raiders/robbers/higwaymen/whatever

4) more use of the reputation thingie and generally how good you are. Like if you are considered a hero of the wastes people in most towns will respect you and bad guys will be afraid of you (if you're not a diplomatic character in wich case they will hate you and in some cases even attack you). If you're a bad ass but still high level and stuff people will "like" you in most towns because they fear you ( ) If you're a wuss, than people wll most likely laugh at you or probably your name isn't very well known...

5) the possibility to give your clothes/armour and wepons a personal look, maybe even a side program for making armours and modifying weapons, I dunno...

6) if none of the above is included or the game in general will suck, at least make it moddable :eyebrow:

The choice to play through the game changing nothing, for better or worse, or having a huge dramatic impact on the wasteland.

That wouldn't be so bad, really. I'd play an RPG where I don't have to do any quests or talk to anyone to beat it...:chew:

I just get pretty fed up at all the rpgs forcing me to be this chosen fucker and go save the world. Id rather start everything as a lowlife scum nobody, maybe even member of some enemy raiders group or something, and then get a feel for being the nr 1 good guy along the way, or not.

I agree with st_toxic on this. Having some 'greater destiny' forced upon the player becomes really, really grating after the first few times. Either allow avenues to escape it, or make it non-essential/non-existent to begin with. :drunk:

Single new feature - some sort of items creation/fixing/modification system.

has bethesda sked for any fan input?
like, in a way indicating that they care about what we think?
