Well, I just pre-ordered it with an hour and a half to spare. I'll download it and play it some and tell you guys what I think.

What, Rage? Do tell. Although I guess if you're downloading 20 gigs we'll probably be hearing about it sometime next month.

Nah, currently in hour three and I'm nearly done. I'll have a preliminary reaction post to it after I play it for a few hours.
That said I've got to read a +300 page book about the Freedmen's Bureau during the Reconstruction period of the United States.
Give me a day or two.

How far is 'a bit' ? If 'a bit' is some/not past the Saudi Arabia section, it's completely understandable as to why you'd think it is shit - that opening sequence is why, in conjunction with
Game Journalism, it gained the metacritic borne death knell of 72.
Or maybe you played further, and simply have terrible taste.
Or maybe you just suck at vidyagames.

Or maybe he didn't don a beard-aviators-russianhat combination, specialized on shotgun and choose all the douchebag responses.
Only way to play the game proper.

Blargh, my man, I tried locating a video of when you choose to switch off the conference vid with black boss man during the first mission, which is probably the biggest laugh I've ever gotten out of a game. Only I failed and the closest I could come up with was
this (which is pretty lulzy itself).
Imagine my surprise when I come back here and read
THAT. I kid you not, I almost wet myself laughing.
No. Fucking. Way. You
are a damn advanced virus-bot-thingie.

It depends on what you're looking for. Battlefield 3 PLAYSTATION THREE has 30 frames per second and feels more heavy than CoD, which is optimized simplistic enough to render 60 fps on all consoles. But Battlefield 3 requires a bit more tact. When you get a kill in CoD it feels more like ripping a piece of paper, when you get a kill in Battlefield 3 it feels like you've punched through a small stack of papers.

You can even accrue a series of perks through cutting enough calls. Then again, you get perks for almost everything in

Probably the best detail of that part is that 'Execute' remains an option, almost tauntingly, for the entire duration of the scene. It's quite beautiful, really.
[Re: gay] How do.. What? How does that work???

Talk about taunts, how about casually shooting the odd dinner party guest (much to the chagrin of chinese-lady-in-my-head) and
then wanting to replay said mission "properly"?

One day I'll buy a computer that can actually play AP and judge for myself.
DX HR isn't half bad, I like it. But I don't know, something about it just isn't grabbing me.
It lacks a certain pizazz, panache.
I mean, the funnest part to me so far is the hacking minigame, is that wrong?
I'm not so much into the tactical shooter elements. But it's not deal breaking.
Impossible for these sequels to live up to all the expectations/baggage that come with them, and that the PR douches fabricate.

I seriously don't understand the hub hub with the hacking minigame. Either I skipped the tutorial or something but to me it just always boils down to clicking nodes as fast as I can and using stop virii whenever I'm down to a couple of seconds. Even got to a point where I'd rather just use the electro hack thing and forego XP just not to have to do it again.
AP is simple enough to portray. It's DEHR without the sci-fi, with much worse and much more consoley gameplay, even worse bosses but with a better plot, better writing, much more satisfying character interplay/dialogue and finally, unlike DEHR, it warrants multiple playthroughs. Like Blargh once said, it's too bad that it felt it needed a shooter in there (which can fortunately be rendered trivial via pistol specialization), because as straight interactive fiction, it absolutely works. EDIT - And it "should" work on any machine that can run DE (or that can run other Unreal3 engine games), besides, if it gets choppy during gameplay, it's not like you're missing much.
Get out of here, uncommon sense.

Honestly, between that and, for instance, the decision
not to include custom playlist capability in
Saint's Row - The Third . . .
Too many inveterate fuckwits in this business, it seems.

Yes, I was hoping we could have this discussion on the news page so that we'd feel like important people, but then again we
are on: DaC - Good luck finding a news poster that posts news *ba-dum-tish*
But seriously, this industry needs to just fucking die, already.
Let's pool togheter, dacker-chaps. We'll start mailing these companies letters laced with anthrax, we could have Blargh type them out in his characteristic stylishly overcomplicated manner for teh added lulz, virtue of the confused look on their faces as they choke to death; we could set our army of middle-aged-chinese-women-spambots on their servers; hell, we could even strap a vest bomb on ol' propster and have him visit bethesda HQ with a bone thru his nose and the word "REVENGE!" tatooed on his forehead and the proceed to beat the blast survivors to death with our golf clubs in DaC's typical "angry old man meets cynical bastard meets
cunt" fashion. The possibilities are endless!

If it bothers you that much just take my position. I'm asking KOC right now to switch since you're so upset.
