Such as? I mean, if you're gonna have a point, you might as well make it, otherwise that pedestal is kinda wasted.total bullshit flaws
A hundred times zero is still zero.Fuck its 100 times more true to fallout 1 and 2 than tactics ever was.

toot toot, all aboard the clue train.Haris wrote:Than you have not played fallout 2 enough eather.I still disagree with your respawning junkies also.
Fallout comunity has for a long time bashed this game without even knowing how it is. And now when its released most of those rabid fans are grasping after total bullshit flaws just so it would turn out they where right. Most often they point out flaws that where much worse in fallout 1 and 2. Everything you did in fallout 2 did not change everyones reactions towards you.
What was it in fallout 2, you get raped in the ass by supermutant and than chinese dudes in san fran moch you for it. Most npcs had oneliner dialogs and game was not so big at all. You had like 30 random encounter maps and 18 locations to visit plus 10 special encounter maps. The game was 10 times more buged than fallout 3. I remember buying fallout 2 halfpriced the day it was released and salesman said its cause its to buged, they could not charge it full price.
There is not much less weapons in fallout 3 than there was in fallout 1 or 2. You just dont get them all at once. Some come with special encounters, like alien blaster, some are made by combining weapons and junk you looted.
And bullshit about the game not being true to original. Fuck its 100 times more true to fallout 1 and 2 than tactics ever was. And than again its the same bull these same fanboys where pulling abuot fallout 2 when it was released. It sucked compared to fallout 1 for them.
Games i really hated where Oblivion and Morrowind. Hell i was not that much impressed with daggerfall eather but i could play it for longer than 15 minutes before getting bored of it. And when several of my friends asked me if i was excited about Fallout 3 coming out i said it will probably suck like Oblivion did.toot toot, all aboard the clue train.
1. I haven't really bashed Fallout 3. I've assessed it on it's own merits, and pretty much ignored comparing it to previous Fallouts. In fact I stick it in the exact same category as Fallout Tactics. It's an ok game, but its not really that amazing of a Fallout game. The game, as far as I feel lacks character and style. It just feels less of the sum of its parts.
Grasping at flaws? Shitty dialogue, poor voice acting and dumbed down game mechanics. Wee, yes. I'm pushing a grudge against obscure faults in a game that is clearly perfect (omg 100/100 on GSA). How dare I hold an opinion of a game that isn't market industry identical. Christ, as soon as Bethsoft got their mitts on the license I said they'd fuck the dialogue up because they can't do it for shit. And who didn't see those minigames coming?
But please, don't dismiss it as fanboism, several friends who enjoyed Fallout and loved Oblivion also aren't fans of Fallout 3, they find it dull and boring and too lite of an rpg and too lite of an fps to be of any appeal.
The game is dull, lacks depth and isn't anywhere near the 2nd coming as it's hailed to be by some. It's just another mediocre game in a mediocre industry dominated by marketing cunts.
Dialogs and writing is alot better than Oblilvion. Bah i dont even care. All i know is that last time i had this much fun with a game was when i played fallout 1 and 2. Enough said.Stainless wrote:How was I wrong? The game has pretty environments, VATS works "ok", but the game mechanics are dumbed down, the writing is woeful and the game uses the same voice actors from their last shitty product. I never declared the game as anything else, so really. How am I wrong? Are you telling me that the voice acting is superb, the writing worthy of a novelle awards and has a well thought out mechanics system?
I noticed that too, although more to the extent that little things like repairing generators so the lights come on, etc. They give you this ruined wasteland to run around and stuff in yet don't want to take the bubble wrap off the couch. So to speak. Stuff like forcing open a stuck door with strength, or resorting to a crowbar. For something that is so environmentally advertised, your interactions with it are extremely limited to stealing coffee cups and rare situational pop-up boxes. In that essence, it reminds me alot of Mass Effect.Another thing I miss is being able to use things on other things. The interface in Fallout 3 feels so... lacking. So... inhibited. Gosh, it feels directed like most modern FPS, like I have no real options other than run and gun.
Maybe so but it is still on par with that kid in English 101 who failed the class because the prof couldn't understand what the hell he was writing about.Haris wrote: Dialogs and writing is alot better than Oblilvion. Que? You don't respawn when you die, the game loads your last save.S4ur0n27 wrote:I was talking about you respawing when you dieTotally kills it for me.
Yeah, but I thought it might be a connection and figured Bethesda really doesn't give a shit about us. If Stainless or Smiley cares to ask on the Bethesda forums whether it's a nod to us or not, that'd be cool - otherwise, I don't really care.Myron wrote:By the way... has anyone already noticed the name they gave to the book that improves your demolitions skill?... I doubt they'd talk to me after I called one of their devs a half wit retard.cazsim83 wrote:Yeah, but I thought it might be a connection and figured Bethesda really doesn't give a shit about us. Same goes for STALKER. God I hate that! The firefight can go on for hours, but whether you kill the guy in 5 minutes or 2 hours, he'll still be carrying those 19 rnds of ammunition.Wolfman Walt wrote:NPCs have unlimited ammo in this game from my experience.Myron wrote:the guy dumped almost every ammunition he had on me
