Pretty neat song Danny. Very "60's-70's"

Iron and Wine is multifunctional, and at times, very soothing music. They did a cover of that electro-ish song "Such Great Heights" and all I can think of when hearing it is sitting on a porch watching the sun come up.

Heh, good ole Rare Earth. Only band blacks and whites alike listened to during 'nam. At least that's what an american I ended up playing 8ball with during a vacation in Mallorca told me. Top bloke. Bought me a whisky. True story brah.

moar funkyzeit then, Norman Whitfield style.

Slipping further into the genre known as progressive metal; downloaded the discography of Dream Theater and Porcupine Tree, as well as a lot of Tool.

Just don't become one of those twats who thinks Dream Theater is the greatest band in history, leading you to talk constantly about how Dream Theater is the greatest band in history.

Nah, I reserve that for Zeppelin. Nothing is going to change that. I like the melodic metal, and progressive metal has a lot of that sound in it. The grunting and garbled yelling is always a put off, but I look past that if the actual instrumental stuff sounds good like with the band Between the Buried and Me.

Better yet, skip Dream Theatre entirely. Either you turn into the twat Walter mentioned or you turn into the "wat I usto like this? teh fcuk?? this is so fuggin gay man, no joke" twat like me. Be a man, get Opeth instead.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't, because I'd like to think I'm somewhat mature and wouldn't change my lifestyle at the drop of a hat. I'm pretty dedicated to southern rock and hard rock. I like progressive metal but its not my favorite genre. Truth be told I like Tool a bit more than Dream Theater, but they're still no CCR. I'll look into Opeth.

Well, to be fair, nothing's CCR but CCR.

Little Big Planet's soundtrack is really energetic. Kind of cute/bouncy music, but otherwise fun to listen to or play when you need to get some menial tasks done.

For some reason I get a lot of hate when I say I like Wolfmother.
