Well we had a near miss in 1996, and we will have one in 2004. The one in 1996 missed us by 600 miles which in space terms, is really fucking close. The one in 2004 will be around 500 to 1000.

In absolutely no way, shape, or form did the USSR have a better air force than the U.S. did at the end of WW2. Nor could their navy hold a candle to the USN. During the cold war it was a game of who could produce the better weapons. for example, the US builds the U-2 spyplane, the USSR builds the MiG-25. America introduces the variable wing F-14, the USSR decides to field the MiG-23/27. Also, the USSR never had the carrier strength or force projection the U.S. did and still does.

China may have the largest army in the world but if it cannot move it's forces and invade other countries than the only threat it would pose would be to ajoining countries.

The USSR and the USA each rivaled eachother in many things, for one, the USSR had the better tank until around 1980s when the M-1 Abrahams was introduced. The USSR had the Mig, which could hold its own, we both dominated the skies and had equal power on the seas. They had more nuclear submarines, we had more carriers. They had a larger army, we had a stronger but smaller one. We both rivaled eachother in many places, especially nukes, so I'm saying, if China does become a superpower, under the same government they have now, then either the USA wont be around, or another world war will bring out the best in China. China has the potential, but not with the US around or the threat of a world war no longer existant.

If we fought China we would probably lose, we would send troops into china and since there army is about as big as Dallas' population, we'd lost that battle pretty quickly, but then their are nukes so we'd both lose.

No we would definitely win. And SuperH, China is weeker then us, they just have a larger army then anyone in the world. They have no Air Force, well they do, but it's shit. And same for thier navy. They probably only have two to three satelites at most. But thier army is far larger than the population of Dallas, Monkey. We could destroy 95% of thier military just from the air and sea. If we fought an "all" land battle, they would win the war, thier army is about the size, if not larger, than the population of Cali. So they would probably defeat any nation if they fought an all land war. We would still inflict mass casualties on them, but they would win, on thier front at least.

Edit: SuperH, that site only tells of the pros of a totally impossible plan, for many reasons

1) First of all, the requirements are near impossible.

2) Swithcing of a nation's soldiers is pathetic, soon the soldiers will mingle and mix with the nation they are in, and it starts all over again.

3) although the ideas are nice and world peace would be awesome, its not real. No nation is going to do this. A world war three wont change peoples mind about governments. And just becuase there is a world war 3, doesnt mean there wont be a world war 4. there was a world war 1 and 2. so it doesnt work. plus it only displays one way of doing this, and not even any cons. Its a great idea, but its useless. It provides a utopia, but, the sucky part, its just a dream which will probably go nowhere. Its not unique either, I've thought of some ideas related to this. so unless the person who came up with this is going to go put it to work offline, it wont happen. But ill support him if he does do it, but it needs some tweaking.

Yeah they use soviet made vehicles, that is obsolete soviet made vehicles and tanks. about ten squads of our M-1's could take out their entire tank force. If that dont do it, just send in our a-10's and a few b-52's and boom. or we could send in some apache gunships and.... o there is too many for me to go on. the point being, theyre bark is worse then thier bite. If they didnt have those nukes, they would be nothing. did you know, that they are against a U.S.A missle defense system? do you know why? becuase and i quote "we wont be able to have an edge over the United States if we were to go to war." in stupid terms, "we wont be able to threaten the usa."

the USSR never rivalled the US. shit in the second world war a shitload of infantry men didnt even have rifles and the ones who did had shit for ammo.

and china could kick the shit out of the US in a war because it could build a bridge of people across the pacific and still have enough to throw at and pwn the american army. i mean even the outweighed air and mechanized units couldnt stand up against kamikaze attacks that china could command

Okay they've got 5 times as many people as we have, assuming they invaded us, we've got nearly one gun per person, so all the people with a bunch of guns hands them out and gives each person like 20 rounds, they come in with their C4 and each person shoots 5 people, then they've got some spare ammo to mop up with. Now this won't ever happen because the vast majority of the forces would be cut down by the military, anyone left isn't going to do much. Besides, the Chinese I don't think are much for the whole suicide thing.

of course you would, but first you would need to wake up and realize there is no fucking way for china to move 1 million troops into a position to land on american soil. the logistics of moving that many troops is hard to do even for america and would be damn near impossible for china, at least for the time being.

He's not killing Iraquis, the terrorists are killing Iraquis. And we would decimate China in a war, they have absolutely hardly any air defenses, and even if they did kamikaze, we arent just going to say high and wave to them, we will shoot them down. They would have no chance, they would inflict casualties, but far less than the amount we would inflict on them, without nukes even. And one more thing, the situation in Iraq is not all as bad as the liberal media makes you think. Look at the situation, all of the attacks are coming from terrorists in Baghdad, or Tikrit, and thats like twice a week if they are lucky now. As for the middle east, its part of the arc of isntability. If we dont calm it down, they sure as hell wont, then perhaps another world war will happen, is that what you want.
