Page 100, woo!

If you've got a group of folks to play with MWO isn't all that bad. I found one that's pretty good, we slap just about everyone's shit.

Omerta has completely failed to engage me, not entirely sure why.

As far as rogue-likes go, T.O.O.M.A.N.Y.L.E.T.T.E.R.S is good fun. Recently unlocked the solipsist, but for now I'm running around smiting whole groups at a time with atomic HIV and mega-syphilis as a corruptor, which is thoroughly hilarious. :drunk:

It's preety good.
Opposing camp here. The TBS is more miss than hit and the Bullfrog game they plopped on top is... meh; simplistic, unchallenging, uninteresting, whatever you wanna call it. It looks ok, sounds nice (so-bad-it's-good one liners, too) but on the whole it strikes me as very average. Not very far in but if it doesn't improve soon it's going the way of the bin.

Same. It's not a bad game, it's just... what you'd expected to have seen 12 years ago or on a "budget" system.

Time to trenchcoat : ?

12 years late - an elegant appraisal.

Also, for me at the least, $40@GOG is beyond my software-impulse-purchase-threshold.

A game I will be playing and, I suspect, enjoying (barring unforseen future catastrophies).

Seriously.

I've yet to go wrong with Blendo. :drunk:

Yeah, I really enjoyed Tales of Margarine. The class unlock system and variance between class skills was refreshing, and the graphical update was surprisingly inoffensive to the eyes.

Gravity bone was the least pretentious pretentious indie game I've played for quite a while. Atom zombie smasher and Flotilla were both great too, though the former was more enjoyable than the latter to me.

Currently downloading some sort of slav simulator where you can do lots of politically incorrect things for fun, I have no idea what I'm in for.

So is Omerta like a poor man's Silent Storm or Jagged Alliance 2 then as far as TBS gameplay is concerned?

It is pretty simplified, admittedly, but I kinda had fun playing around with it. Nothing I'd purchase, though.

Currently I'm playing Crusader Kings II. As Iceland.

This sounds completely awesome.

Between the new stuff for Crusader Kings 2 and Victoria 2 they might be enough to hold me over for EUIV.

The reveal for Carthage and the Britons in Rome II Total War also look pretty good, especially considering they've said the stuff they're using in those screenshots are largely placeholders since the game is still in early alpha.

And then on top of that Sega bought Relic and before that even acquired a Warhammer Fantasy license for Creative Assembly, meaning we'll get a WHFB: Total War, which will be fucking awesome, not to mention Relic retained their 40k license and are still releasing COH2 which looks pretty goddamn good.

And Xenonauts is aiming to be finished this year, too, which has been really fun to watch since buying into that alpha back in 2010.

Strategy games are actually looking pretty good right now. I- I actually hold some hope.

You just half-blew my mind, I'd no idea 30 flights was by the same guys that made Flotilla. I really should get on that. DOS-hacker: the game looks positively :drunk:

When the hell are they gonna release Hearts of Iron 4? That would be the one I blow my load all over in gushes and drips.

If they keep up the pattern it'll probably be the next game to come out after EUIV, though I'm really interested to see Victoria III. Hell, every new Paradox game running on their new CK2 engine is going to be fun as shit.

Nothing to fear but micro transactions.

All in all it's bad.
Dead Space 2 was much better.
Better luck next time.

Shogun 2 just got the gold edition last week. Very beautiful game especially in the autumn and spring months. Watching insane duels to the death under the subtle pink hues of cherry trees.
