Haris wrote:Well as i said, even if that is the case i have a way of getting exact same effect as i got with patching the exe without ever touching it. Only difference would be that you would start in vault suit instead of leather jacket. But hey you cant get it all.
Edit:
Allso that law is made to prevent people from creating cracks for games that pass the cd requirment. I hardly think that any company would mind if somone patched their exe in mod making purpose. Specialy not if they released tool that allows you to make mods.
If you wanna use the patcher then do so, I jut thought I would give you a headsup, from one Swede to another.
Do these glasses and my two chins make me look sexy?
If I were to give any advice, it would be to get an English proof reader. Too many mods made by people whose first language isn't english suffer because of translation issues.
We are not gonna get anyone to translate or proof read it. At least not the first version that we release. But in the first update of it maybe we will. We are thoe gonna use program that points out spelling mistakes.
A spell checker is good, but it won't help much when it comes to grammar or writing more entertaining scripts. I would encourage you to get someone to have a look over the text at some point, even if you don't do it for the first version. It will make a world of difference.
There is bounch of things we need to fix before its released, for example now first town that you start in looks worst. Each town that we made after it we got better and better at handling the editor and making flawless maps where every wall and every roof and floor tile fits perfectly in.
We are trying to fix as much as posible before we send in the file for downloading but we dont want it to be one of the mods that we show a screenshot every other month and it never gets done.

May be so, but do you think Interplay would care if they wrecked your mod if they could sue you for billions and get out of the coma? I dunno, I got no knowledge of this stuff...
btw, scrap the new interface, instead, go back to the good old fallout1 one, that would be something..keep up modding

As Sauron pointed out, it would cost Interplay a ton of money to sue and even if they won, Haris wouldn't have money to give them anyway.

Why are you all still on about this. I said i found different solution that dude_obj pointed out how to do with removing movies. And it worked perfectly, much better than patching exe cause when i did that it had some serios bugs when playing Hakunin movies. Now all movies are gone except interplay logo movie at start wich i am gonna leave.
You know whats nasty, that i have to rename 330 files of leather jacket in to vaultsuit file names just not to patch the exe for this mod. Mod is surley gonna be 30 mb big. :/
