how about we get some proof. We dont even know wtf he is buying, just ITS BETTAR THAN WHAT WE HAVE NOW. Maybe if we knew the specs we would be more willing to donate. Right now its just kinda of trust taluntuny with your money.

Well this is what Taluntain sent to me:

I have a shot at getting our server upped from 1.7 GHz to 2.6 for just $160 bucks one-time fee, which is an opportunity not to be missed. Pretty much all the previous server upgrades have been paid from donations to SP, but this time I'd like to get the active hosted sites involved (Codex, Co8, DAC, TA). Raising $160 between the four shouldn't be hard, considering everyone benefits. So the idea is to get this into the news at these 4 sites (along with a paypal button and the notice that wire transfers / mailing checks is also an option), and to raise the money needed ASAP, so that I can order the upgrade before the offer runs out. I'm sending this notice out today to Teatime (please forward to DU as well), Saint and Exitium. If you have any questions, feel free to ask - I'll be sending out customized PayPal code to everyone tomorrow (so that we can see which donations came from where), along with other relevant info, so don't post anything yet. Anyway, let me know that you got this msg and if you have any questions.

P4 1.7 GHz to 2.6Ghz. That's the upgrade.

And trust me, I'm not going to skip town over a few dozen bucks. I've been running this show for 6 years, I could come up with some better scheme if I really wanted to pull off a scam.

Anyway, Teatime and everyone else know the details, I've told them... so blame them if haven't posted them. Not that it really matters in the grand scheme of things... better CPU = more speed, all-around better surfing experience, and faster server operation for everyone involved. I think that's pretty common sense.

Edit: Oops, Teatime's post wasn't there when I started writing this.
