I fail to see how games differ from other forms of graphic/literal entertainment when it comes to violence and pornography. He aint demanding a ban for pornographic and violent books or movies. The reason why they are released is that there is a demand for such content. The laws of demand and supply appliy here. The blame should be directed to the low morale of the consumers, if there'd be anything to blame; which there isn't.
He sees games as an inspiration to go on a killing spree. I've never thought of FPSs as that, unless there's some sort of brainwashing conspiracy going on in the gaming industry that I'm unaware of. Blaming a game developer is easier and more profitable instead of blaming a psychopath individual with a twisted mentality. He is an attorney, after all.

As for the emails between Scott of VG Cats and Jack, I think the best part is in Jacks email when he claims why he knows so much about how dangerous violent video games are by the fact that he was on TV talking about them a week before columbine, which while video games were involved, were hardly the cause.
I also like how he depends on some elses review to say that the rating should be higher, especially when that review emphasizes that it deserves it's "Mature" rating. Apperently the sex scene in Killer 7 is simply two clothed people kissing or something.
Lately, especially with the GTA:SA sex scandal, we are seeing lots of Jack Thompson. The Miami lawyer bent on shutting down Rockstar Games and, maybe, the gaming industry. I invite to tell us your opinions and stories about this guy(intelligent ones, please).
I personally think he's a lunatic(see the comic below) that doesn't really know videogames and how to deal with the violence in them. He's too sure of his ideas, well... at least he has some...
Not the first time that happens. Some kid died from OVER-GAMINGTM during my 1-week trip to Russia, and maybe 2 months ago, one kid in Jemen went into a coma. But it is basicly a good thing.
They could well use them for test subjects, I figure. That way, when ( and if ) they do wake up, they have no need to feel guilty for being absent for so long, knowing instead that they diverted tons of potentially lethal medication from rooting with the public market, and gave the green for a fist of helpful chemicals. Why, wouldn't that be thrilling; made a hero while you sleep!

I see no reason why VG cats would lie about it, but regardless, it doesn't matter. The reason is because he's influential, white, and rich. I only have one of those qualities, which may explain why no one ever listens to me.
