I can't believe nobody mentioned this one yet. What was the name of Troika's "spiritual successor to Fallout" that went nowhere? Or was it left unnamed? I could have sworn reading an early title for it somewhere.
Mechwarrior 4 is my personal favorite. 3 is shit. 2 was awesome. Many long time fans of the series hate 4 because they made controlling your mech slightly easier. Multiplayer kinda sucks when everyone plays the same two super mechs, although it's awesome with the right people. The singleplayer story and dialogue is kinda stupid, but it's still fun.
I never got around to Mechcommander 2. The first was cool, though.
I gave Mech Commander 2 a go, it's just shit, don't ever try it.
Sucky 3D graphics, add shitty controls that make playing or even adjusting a decent viewing angle downright impossible, and iirc there weren't any interesting characters or decent movies/story as well.
I think failsafe was just a demo type project to get someone to back them for the purchase of the FO3 license. Then bethesda swooped down like spiderman and got it.

Spiderman would've tied 'em up and gave 'em to the police. I'd say more of a giant bird of prey with teeth that took lots and lots of time to masticate it and then ingurgitated what was left and destroyed it in the worst stomach acids ever before poo-pooing it on the world.
Where did that come from?
The adventure game with Max the white rabbit and the dog looked good for a while(I THINK it wasn't released).
You mean Sam and Max: Freelance Police which looked totally kick-ass until Lucasarts decided to cancel it because it didn't have Star Wars on it and it may have actually have been a quality product?

Given the quality of Troikas previous games, it would've probably been another bug ridden CRPG with lousy combat and stability issues. I don't think they released any information about it. Anyway, now that Troika finally has deceased, it could be safe to ask them about it.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

I always had the impression of a big, nasty vulture, waiting for the carcass to get rancid before diving in.
Anyway... I thought Troika was still developing the Fallout successor! What happened? I'll take a bug-ridden, unstable CRPG with lousy combat from TROIKA over most other games.
Excuse me? The game uses Source engine, specially designed for FPSs, and yet you practically cannot walk and shoot at the same time? Very great indeed.
