Age of Empires 3 demo out
I know i wouldn't, but heck....i allready have an illegal copy of XP....and I think I may enjoy aoe3 a bit...so why not download it when it has been uploaded to some torrent server. Fact is, however, that it's pretty greedy of microsoft to force customers to have another one of their expensive products in order to be able to use this particular piece of software.

I agree with you St. Toxic.
I have shitty windows 98 but it still works for me. I havent played any good RTS's since Warcraft 3 back like 2 years ago. I need something new... that doesn't rape my processor like 1 ghtz games do![icon_sadblinky :sadblinky:](./images/smilies/icon_sadblinky.gif)

Ehm.....I'm really lost when people claim they prefer working under win98 or antother version of windows that predates XP. XP is significantly more reliable and stable then any of its predecessors, from my experience at least. Not once have I stumbled upon any complications ever since I converted to XP. The same can't be said for any of the older versions.

I assume he means 'CPU Demanding'. That's in no way a problem for me, I just don't want to use xp, and I'm neither downloading or buying it, just because they want me to.
EDIT: 2k for greater stability and performance.

Damn straightProcess control is shit, though.
Yeah... I did mean CPU demanding. My comp is shit and I don't have the room or money to XP on it. Besides, from seeing my friends XP fuck up all the time I don't want it.

Moved onto XP corp just recently from 2K. Haven't noticed any sort of difference, really, just that some new software had trouble running on 2K while not on XP. 2K loaded up a lot slower than XP, but then it was somewhat more stable. I've had a few system crashes already, but I think I had something like two for the time I ever used 2K.
So blah, doesn't matter, I haven't paid for any of them anyway.
The last legal Windows I've had was 98.

It's newer, bigger and better. From my experience it surpasses 2K performance-wise and stability-wise. But maybe this is an exception.
I don't see what the big dealio is anway. Various bootlegs of the product are distributed freely anywhere across the internet. I guess it's an ideology thing.
Hey dudes, let's get back on topic now.
I noticed something odd just now. The english priest is being rendered erroneously. It's horizontally in stead of upright when walking and standing and ''normal'' only when performing some kind of action.
The cannon has some graphic problems too. When deployed it remains attached to the horse. While it's operational, the units posture suggests otherwise, which yields a rather awkward effect.
When attacking an enemy unit for instance, the front side of the unit is faced towards it. Effectively, in the case of a deployed cannon, this is the muzzle of the cannon....but it appears to be the horse's mouth.
