Hello? DVDs? Way cheaper and more prolific than video tapes. Coingid!
They didn't have DVD's in the 80's, congoid - that's when Bruce Lee tapes started popping up on the market... Never been in Bosnia, but I'm sure they have plenty of DVD's today. Eastern Europe actually has a lot more to choose from in terms of cars and entertainment hardware than America, because it has access to European and Asian markets unrestricted by silly American import laws and agreements...
I'm not offended by ignorant statements. When someone says "third world country" people imagine Somalia or Iraq. But if you tour around small towns of midwest USA, you'd think you're in a third world country too, so shut your hole.
Well I've got friends in Hungary, I have been to Russia myself (what a shithole), my brother visited Czech Republic a month ago or so and my Uncle's been in nearly all of the former Warsow Pact countries, I think. So hear & see, mostly. Most of my friends and relatives have also been to Estonia, which isn't that much of a surprise (bloody vodka tourists)
And have you been to any REAL third world countries, my friend? Trust me, Eastern Europe might seem bad, but it's much closer to first world than the third, although I'm sure most people would prefer to live somewhere else.
The whole situation in the Balkan area is pretty fucked up to begin with... People who were best friends in the 80's started killing each other when Milosevic came to rule. It's weird to say this, but apparently Tito's communist reign had some good results: it assimilated all the minorities into one nation, which in turn prevented the outburst of any inner disputes. Milosevic, on the other hand, was a serb nationalist... figure out the rest.
