In such a world, longevity would be far from 'kick ass'. :drunk:

Or maybe they have listened to the fans and decided to make a prequel set in pre-apocalyptic Ukraine.

What the hell was with the 3 holy grail encounters, and the giant whale i mean wtf a giant whale. D:
They should have some but put some more wit into them, some in fallout 2, like previously said, where just dumb.

I thought the holy grail, whale, maltese falcon, bridgekeeper and tin man encounters were OK, but the easter eggs hidden in dialogue, item descriptions and other random stuff, especially in New Reno, didn't add anything to the game. Special encounters are often 'off-game' situations anyway, so a pop-cultural reference is acceptable, moderately used.

And by this rare insight, illuminated in part by the unique qualities of the window from which it issued ; we know with inexorable certainty that the rampant nods to the puerile and misplaced of Fallout 2 were a HORRIBLE THINGâ„¢. Yes. :drunk:

Yes, lame indeed.
The whale is a Hitchhikers Guide reference.
A very unlucky person being repeatedly reincarnated only do die
pointlessly and arbitrarily.
Try bringing the flower pot to Algernon in New Reno.

...ok, don't.
That's one easter egg they didn't implement.

And putting a shell in the howitzer doesn't work either.

The howitzer does work, it's needed to open the entrance to the Sierra Army Depot. At least it works in the patched version, don't know about the basic version of FO2.

I know that.
What I mean is, the howitzer in Algernon's room in the basement of
New Reno Arms.
I was hoping it would open up a secret area.

No luck.

Feed it with flowers is your solution to everything. Life is more complicated than that, mister.
