The guy on the left leads me to believe LARPers can sit on thin air.

sweet we can finally start nailing down the lid on Fallout's coffin. Once BethSoft ravages the setting with their wanton mediocrity the fucker will be buried for good.

Huzzah for closure.

how did the design meeting for Oblivion go anyways? "Let's make Ultima, but without the interesting characters and diverse settings!" "Awesome idea! Let's throw in shit tastic combat and generic quest mills called factions, too!" "I am absolutely giddy with the prospect of writing god awful code that will run like dog shit on even the most high end computers!" :pelvic_thrust: that's right, fuck RPG fans, fuck them hard. :pelvic_thrust:
The answer to your first question is shaddup.

the ever-enthusiastic Killzig. So you've played through Oblivion as you're saying there are no interesting characters in it? I'm sceptical about Beth, but I'd give Oblivion a go before I make such a definite judgement.

Therein lies your failure, pIp. Do not declare The Prophet Killzig blind, for you have not seen what he has seen. How can I tell ? If you had, you too would exude depressing, pessimistic commentary of a FRIGHTENINGLY similar topic. Yet distinct from your usual. Yes. Naivety is their bread, hope, their wine. Such is the way of things. :drunk:

yea yea, I'm such a hopeless "seeing is believing" case, my bad. Truth is I haven't had much contact with Beth other than Morrowind omg-reviews on the one hand and your black propheting on the other. So no, I haven't seen what venerable 'zig has seen :aiee:

I've seen every other game they've put out up to Morrowind. I've yet to find an interesting character in the whole lot.

What's oblivion about anyway I haven't been following it. Patrick Stewart sits in a tower and waits for his hair to grow so you can save him?

well, the game is set in this magical kingdom.
the princess of the kingdom has fallen into an enchanted sleep caused by some evil lord.
To save the princess you need to collect the legendary triforces (small glowing p2d pyramidish thingies), and aided by their force you can finally face the über baddie on mount doom.
a rather original game, may I say.

I found da real story guys

Oblivion's storyline follows your quest as a prisoner who is freed by The Emperor during his attempt to escape assasins. When the Emperor is killed, it opens the doors to the Hell-like dimension of Oblivion at random spots around the game world. Your mission is to close the doors to Oblivion by finding the Emperor's Heir and placing him on the throne.

wow i wonder who the heir could be

the "prisoner set free" part is so Van Buren. I like the "place heir on the throne" part.
