That will be quoted in the next Total War game.
It was. Medieval II is moderately kickass by the way. And so what if people here played Oblivion? Fuck, I played it, who cares? I mean, I fucking hated it, and it sucked, and I only sat down with it for a few hours. But I didn't think Morrowind especially sucked, for some kind of silly, stabby bastard-child one-man-MPORG fuckfest. Oh well, it's only fifty dollars. 'Only.' Jesus.

I wouldn't piss on Oblivion if it was on fire. Oblivion. I'd rather wank, at least I'd have something to show for it.

Can we not consign this digital tripe to it's namesake already?

Lionheart: Legacy Of The Crusader and Oblivion...

ya what do we have to look forward to??

Oblivion was a shit game imho, BUT with the right mods it has become a great game for me and one I enjoy playing.
Yes I admit to playing Oblivion, but only after modding the living fuck out of it and making it into a good cRPG.

Will FO3 offer this?
Even if Beth makes FO3 and its not a good game will we beable to make mods for it and change like we have done for Morrowind and Oblivion?

Hey, why not just release a Fallout construction set?

Fallout 3 will be remembered exactly as Bethsoft released it. It's not the fanbase's duty to finish their job. Besides, I don't think a few graphical fixes and balancing tweaks will fix poor dialogue, braindead NPCs and design errors.

Maybe FO will be Bethesda's pet project, an artistic safety valve.

"You guys do good on those dumbed-down products and we'll let you do what you want with FO3."

or not

Why I Think Bethesda Won't Botch FO3
Hrm, this is a tough one.
I think Bethy won't botch FO3 because... err... my cat's breath smells like cat food.

Not bad points. Be thankful you retain the ability to be optimistic.

Well if Fallout 3 is going to be on Xbox360,
What do you think the control's will be like from a mainstream developer like Bethseda?

Visualize how a turn-based Fallout is possible with that xbox 360,
hard to visualize isn't it?

So your probably going to see a mainstream action rpg. Not the RPG you were hoping for, and I say that with total confidence.

Its all about money to them. That should answer your question.

It's only hard to visualize due to the sort of market that is believed to exist on X-Box. There are plenty of turn based RPG's for consoles. Sure they're not (All) great, but they're turned based with a remotely similar combat system.

The only one that is vaguely similar is .... gladius?

Japs make bunches of turn based strategy games.

Generally that kind of turn based combat is completely and utterly different than the sort of TB in Fallout though.

The point is that there are plenty of TB RPGs for consoles.

Also - Utterly different in what way? They work in turns, they have a grid system. Some work off of action points, some don't; hence the word "remotely."

I think I've only seen one jrpg that uses a grid.

I can name about 5 off the top of my head, which is probably sad.

You are most likely correct. But how much money can they possibly make on "just-another-crappy-console-game"? And if they never had any intention of making a propper Fallout game why did they spend all that money on the licance when they could just have comeup with something on their own? There is this game developer named Valve software that made what is generaly thought of as the best PC game ever made called Half-Life. I only bring this up because it shows what you can do with something special, dare to be uniqe!

So there is a small, A SMALL! chance that Fallout 2 will not be a total and utter crap of a game.

P.S. Oh, and Jetbaby is right about the miniskirts!
