try to build a PC with its power (8 processors etc) and features (blue ray etc) and sum up the costs.

Irrelevant by the requisite subsidy. Profits reaped elsewhere, born of hyperbole, wool and operational necessities.

Where stepped the Captain ? :drunk:

They'll still have to lower the price sometime.

I'm broke as a mafucka, but I'm considering filling out the twenty forms of personal questions and 4 trails so I can get a PS3. I know the whole system is usually portrayed as a scam, but Christian got a brand-spankin new iPod by doin all that shit and quitting the trials after it arrived.

So yeah, food for thought

EDIT: Main reason I want to get it in the first place is the fact that I'm a huge Metal Gear Solid fan, and MGS4 looks beyond amazing. But I dunno, the new Zelda game looks good enough to aim for a Wii instead... damn these difficult choices

True, but 300 bucks is still a lot. Just thought it was a bit funny.

You can install Linux on Xbox, works pretty well as a server for example... I think. Never bothered to try. Maybe if this happens for PS3 (I don't even know if it's possible), it could work? Still sounds a bit cumbersome.

Videogames suck anyway. All of 'em. It's a good thing my little brother got the 360 or I would probably never play the next Fallout.

Doesn't the term "video games" include games for the PC? Or am I horribly mistaken?

Yeah, but why the fuck would I care with so much fancy useless shit?

I mean, hell. I could build a yacht with a rocket engine to VTOL away from torpedoes.

But why?

Sony just took every shiny piece of hardware they saw and put it together. Result: Vastly overpriced piece of crap of complete failure in any commercial market.

this bit's about using the potential. I wonder how much of it they're actually using. And how many games will there be for ps3 (and how many good? :hahano:)

I can't aim with mouse, I can't type on the internet and in word, I can't have my army of diverse software - what good is a console?
