ehue, had time to play it now.
It's much like one had anticipated, reminds alot of the first ones but with some extra sugar, and well worth buying.

Played as Leinster and almost united Ireland. But my alliance with france went to hell, and the English got me around 1550ish D:

Just got it. The amount of details is overwhelming(not graphic ones, whore), and the learning curve must be fucking steep(I never played either the first or second game), but the whole thing sounds so good.

Any advices for a starter, mismatch my love?

Keep inflation down by loosing moneh each month, but not more than you can gain deach december when you get a bigger sum...
Inflation if the work of the devil

like:
dec-jan +20
jan-dec, -1/month
=============
yields a total yearly income of 8. and no inflation

And try to ally yourself with one of the major powers in your area if you aren't one yourself.

Don't you need ducats to purchase stuff, though?

yah, but the treasury slider does not inflyence the yearly income, merely the monthly, so try to loose as much money as possible each month to lower inflation.
And cover the loss with our yearly income.

Dunno, haven't played hearts of iron2.

Sweet.

I think I'll still go over the tutorial, even though I just hate tutorials. If I don't, I'll just feel like I'm missing something.

If you're patient and like this kind of game, go for it, it's very well made.

That sums it up more or less.
For a strategy lover it's brilliant.
If you like Civ games and all that you'll like eu3, not because they are at all alike, because they're not. But because well...

If you're too cheap/broke to buy it, we have a contest so you can possibly maybe win a free boxed copy of EU3. Dare to dare.

Fine, only if you let me win. Consider it as a repayment for not revealing your secret.

Everyone already knows about the small mouse fetus head growing off the side of my penis so your threats don't scare me.
