You can play as a female in DX IW.

Kinda distracting playing females as main characters in the third person since I just stare at their asses in sexual lust. Especially girls like Natasha Henstridge in 'Species'. hot hot hot.

I'm going to add my own comment on this situation.

Firstly, I'm going to start with the DS. DS vs. PSP is like Game Boy vs. Game Gear. We all know that the PSP has superior power. So why would you buy a DS? Simple. The DS has a much superior battery time over the PSP, just as the Game Boy had a much superior battery time over the Game Gear. Also, the DS has more of a collection of games which it is comfortable to play on the move - home console titles can be very difficult to play on a bus or train, or even when you're walking.

Secondly, about the Wii. The platform for men with cojones is the PC. If you deny that, I'm going to consider you a traitor to computer gaming in general. (Sony don't allow AO-rated titles on their consoles either; Nintendo is not alone in this.) I'm a person who thinks that console gaming and PC gaming should be kept mostly separate, with a few FPS crossovers, perhaps. The Wii succeeds in this, having a mostly different title list than the PS3 and Xbox 360. However, the other two consoles are encroaching on the PC's territory in disturbing ways.

Take a look at Command and Conquer 3, a title that should, by virtue of its genre, have been released on PC only. However, because it's deemed necessary to squeeze every penny out of a title these days, it's shipped off to the consoles - and it's likely that development was done with them solely in mind.

Look as well at BioShock, a game which before the mainstream console gamer would have been a PC game only. Now, "oh, look at me! I'm playing on a console and I need a quest arrow because I haven't a clue where to go next!" You never would have had THAT in System Shock 2. That was a game for real gamers.

Finally, look at the Fallout series. I think you get the picture on that, at least.

In conclusion, the Wii may be considered a girls' console by its detractors, but at least it isn't jeopardising the future of PC gaming, where we should know is where all the real balls are in computer games.

Why there is nearly no ugly female characters in video games? They tryin` to make all of them hot stuff.Not a reflection of a human female being but as sexual objects of the games.Nearly all of the games I have ever seen females got minor roles and major boobs...at least guaranteed major boobs

For the 'got minor roles' part ,except Tomb Raider clones of course
