I can suggest ' Books of Magic ' or if you`ll keep up reading for a long time dig in for Dark Horse`s Star Wars new timeline.(Wait for a while&take them as omnibooks, it gets cheaper)

Dresden Codak. http://dresdencodak.com/index.html
His art is interesting and he sometimes plays around with some pretty high-concept science/psychology but it usually isn't as good as the comic posted.

Richard Corben?
Man, I used to love Corben as a kid (violence! boobies!). Looking back, his stuff isn't all that interesting.
Not particularly cerebral, but some of it still nets the occasional guffaw.

Moebius' short stuff is le brill d'utter

i finished hard boiled & found it to be mad decent. trying the nikopol trilogy now, the goings are slow but... fruitful. the visuals are quite :icecream:

i'll probably be looking for more comix soon, any of you caucasoids got a z-cult invite to trade for... some other sort of invite?

the film based on the nikopol was fucking horrible. The only value perhaps is that the trilogy fans can wank to the now-moving :icecream: visuals.

I have only read Metamorphosis yet. I think the book might spoil the fun of future reads. Maybe I'll have a look at it later. :brushteeth:

yeah, i own that crumb-illustrated kafka book, pretty :OG: alright. iirc the fella who once drew spy vs. spy for mad magazine also drew a comic version of the metamorphosis (which is quite good?)

:umbrella:
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

Definately go for Der Prozess next, it has far more depth than Metamorphosis. Excellent book.

I dont really care about depth, I found metamorphosis to be quite a lulzy read but thanks for the tip, I might just read Der Prozess next. :cigar;

edit: lawl I just ordered it for 3bucks on amazon, the shipping costs probably cost amazon more than their earnings out of this sale. B)

Look into this. I keep up with his webcomic, but now that he's publishing stuff I'd recommend giving that a try.

Robert Crumb? The guy who draws the girls with huge thighs/asses?

I've seen a few of those at the local Barnes & Noble

atoga, as your lawyer I highly recommend reading The Invisibles because it's top notch stuff and nico is, for all intents and purposes, an asshole D:

l'edit: for all intents and purposes I might also have a z-cult invite lying around too

z-cult is a horrible site, man. the forum is full of dreadnoughts and the trackers are devoid of neat stuff

better head on over to the comic hubs on direct connect, which is where all the cool cats party. you'll have to share a few gigs of comics to get in because that's how we roll at the school of hard knocks (I'm sharing 100+ GB of comics right now B) :represent: )

oh and I'm totally not an asshole :google: The Invisibles is interesting, but it does feel quite dated, and the quality is not particularly consistent. did a reread of it upon coming into the possession of da trades quite recently. was much better five years ago
