Shining Force games kicked major ass.

Yeah, though the first one wasn't as good as the second. Apparently there are like 3 other Shining Forces game which were only released in Japan. Plus, SF3 was actually 3 games on 3 CDs in Japans, and we only got the first one here. Never got to try it though.

Paintball, until recently, was illegal in my state. But still, now that the legalisation has changed, the closest paintball place is still a good couple of hours drive to the border.

I had lots of fun with GitS on PS1, the fact you could go climbing on walls and shit with a tank was pretty fun.

Luckily in California, it is not illegal. Its fun, though it gets very expensive, i stopped after having to pay for my balls all the time. Airsoft is cool too, i think i like it a little more, it is funner to me.

There was this third person medieval shooter... Enclave I think..
You could play this archer or assassin, and stack up 20 arrows on a bow..

vote to get that shit repealed. Paintbal guns are totally awesome. Just live somewhere where there is a forestry industry they use paintballs to mark the trees more quickly, that is actually how paintball started.

I got another one. Rune. It was this 3rd person Viking game back in 2000. Humanhead, the developer, did wonders with the UT engine at the time. The coolest part was anything dropped can be used as a weapon, and there was a shit ton of weapons. Singleplayer was fun. I dunno about multi. A few years ago there were rumblings of a sequel and some concept art was released or leaked.

Used to play that multi like it was going out of fashion, i remember that that shit game messiah boasted about having skin on their models but rune had it before they did. that game was so fucking far ahead of its time. I love rune. Really really really good wish they would make a new one. rune: what tomb raider was supposed to be if it had a hairy viking in it who beats people to death with their own limbs. The fact that you had to climb all those cool maps was the best, i love games where you can go everywhere on the map . I love head chopping.

the multi was in fucking sane, if you throw a sword just rgiht you can pin it into a dude. I just wish human head had not made prey cause compared to rune prey is MONSTER FAIL. Run is prolly the only action sword fighting game ever made. Fuck soul calibre and shittty games like that. RUNE FTFW. Nothing beats throwing a guys head back at him just as he respawns. Also the 'bombing run' game mode was fucking the dogs bollocks. YOu have 2 teams and the first one to have his head chopped off has his head become the ball, then you have to get it into the goal at the other side of the map. They did have an expansion for the game but i never had the chance to play it. YOu can also throw it to your team mates further up ahead of you. Rune powers were a bit gay though, the rest rocks.

Few years ago when I was getting games for my saturn I was thinking about getting SF3 for it but it cost a hell of a lot like 80 bucks but I didn't feel like it was worth it as I had some other games on it that I hadn't played fully. I spent 110 bucks for Panzer Dragoon Saga though, I guess it was worth it. It would be awesome if they released all 3 of the SF3 games in the USA but the saturn was pretty much dead.

That sounds fucking awesome. I do remember pinning guys in basic deathmatch games. At the time I was more into Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight multiplayer just because it was popular.

Twinkie's thread about something reminded me about Unreal 2. I waited a year after release before checking it out and was pleasantly surprised. It doesn't hold a candle to Unreal 1, but is better in almost every way to Halo. And then the XMP multiplayer thing came out and for a few weeks it was amazing. The singleplayer campaign was fun, varied, had some good weapons, and the main characters were kinda interesting. Although, it did feel like a lot of background stories weren't explored and the whole game was very rushed. A few years later I replayed it when Doom 3 came out and Unreal 2 is the better game by far.
