Back off, I'll use the BBS code when I feel like it...

And I think the reason why Tactics didn't seem to fit with the Fallout world was the lack of that perverse sense of humor... there was the Daisy and Nanuk thing... and then there was nothing. True, there was that one Reaver who falls in love with you (I think if you're wearing power armor or something like that) but I'm positive that most people never got past mission 5 in the game (My first try with the game lasted til Osceolla, where my squad was wiped out by some Muties with M60s... sadness) and so never got to that part...
Other then that, there was the linearity of the game... you couldn't go ahead and find the cities unless you were given a mission to go there...
Oh yeah, the combat system seems to have pissed off a lot of fallout fans... I say that it was much better then the last two games... just don't use CTB... at least the shotguns work correctly now...

I'm not eaven gonna reply to that post. Oh, what the hell....

Anyway.....Its just a sequel. Sheish, people do make mistakes in games, like not letting people jump and stuff.
Could you do that in FO1&2?

Thats true, who gives flying fuck what we say that aint gonna change the game. Yeah they fucked up alot with the fallout universe but they also do alot of good things, I'm not sayin this game is great but it definatly isnt as bad as people are making it out to be. The things they lack in shouldnt be bitched about i think maybe modding can help correct it to become more intune with the fallout universe, there is no doubt in my mind if you want more sex related stuff like in the Fallout2 somebody could mod a girl/npc that falls in love with your character and joins your party for example, someone said something about that all that i am saying dont bitch try to improve

Does this include useless skills and perks?

If so:
PERKS
LeadFoot, Gunner, Road Warrior (unless you like a lot of useless random encounters
Mr. Fixit (though may not be too useless)
Night Vision

SKILLS
Barter - when you can steal
Science - what for?
more to come...

I liked the pie floaters, hehehe, although they were somewhat useless. Ahhhhh, obscure references to Australian culture...

BARTER: This is quite usefull actually. Stealing is one thing, but merchandise the shopkeeper in the bunkers has to offer can be acquired only by trade. A highter barter skill will drastically lower the money you spend on providing your squad of the materials needed. It will lower the buy/sell ratio. buying at 100 and selling the same at 2 will no longer happen.

SCIENCE: Not yet conformed, but assumed to many, this skill will increase the chance on inflicting critical damage to machinery, including robots.

About Mr.Fixit...*nods*, yup..It's quite useless indeed. A on-time bonus of 10% to science and repair. Intelligence will make up for this.
Any car-related skill is senseless in my opinion. Im rarily caught bolting from the inside a vehicle.

If you look in the v1.25 patch ReadMe file you'll see a note about the Science skill's bonus to critical hits being fixed.

Science can also be used to determine the frequency of Remote Det. Traps, as well as to shut down power nodes.

You know, I was on my 3rd game before I realized that those things knocked your DR vs. Normal damage down 25% temporarily. Useful if you're going to use them on someone you intend to kill but will have a hard time with, I guess.

Pie Floaters?

Do you mean the food in the dish surrounded by a liquid?
