Maybe you're able to break off for a quick snooze and continue from where you left off? 25 straight hours of bossfighting sounds a bit weird. Hell, bossfights at all in an mmo sounds completely retarded, so the addition of the fight lasting more than a day is actually pretty good.

Because you commit to people online?
It's just cowardly behaviour though, like texting a breakup or pulling out phonelines.

I did not say that I had ever, in fact, pretended so. I said that I would estimate that I would do so, would the boss fight drag on to last 18 hours.
I have actually never done that. Even through the most tedious of progress raids where it's wipe after wipe on the same boss for several hours in a row, I've always stuck through it - mainly because I'm an officer and just pulling the switch and go 'oops' would be a sure sign of defeat to the guild in general.

If you call that a problem, then you have no problems.

Indeed; the Internet is the last bastion of freedom and liberty. Why make it personal?

What I meant is, that if you consider that a problem, then you have no real problems.

I used to think this when I first started playing online video games and I ended up staying on forever to be bros or whatever which is retarded. If you feel like your done playing a videogame you should be able to just log out and not be scorned by your supposedly online friends. Hell, saying that you have to go while your online should be considered going above and beyond.

Depends on what you're doing.
If you're in a raid with 25 people, and you've committed to it/signed up for it, then you should try and stay the full length. Otherwise you're letting down 24 other people, who suddenly have to find a replacement.
If it's a 5 man group doing an instance, then it's usually no problem.
