Can you define the problem with alignment? I just fired up the editor to look at the proportions, so I didn't have the time to look at that. Also, I'll look at home, but I thought the bounding boxes were right. Better yet, could you post a screen shot?

About the weathered effect, I'll see what I can do. Don't forget the screenie, it would be of great help. I would wait for Senor Deluxe's tile though. I was very impressed with his cafeteria tile today... I have a rendering program but don't think can reach that level yet. I think he's at least as good as St. Proverbious.

Flamo, I can't post a screenshot up on the forum, because I have no webspace to upload it to. The pump-photoes were craftily remote-linked from a stash of websites found after a scan of Google. ;)

I've never ripped a screenshot from the editor, before. Could you tell me how it's done, and where the resulting pic goes, please? I assume it's alright to send an s-shot to the same address you sent your email from?

Steve :)

To make a screenshot from the editor just hit your printscreen key, close the editor and open up your trusty graphics program, just ctrl-v to paste the screenshot in place and save it as a jpeg.

Yes, flamescreen@hotmail.com is valid.
I also sended a tile just for a revised pic of the tile. Tell me if this one is closer to what you wanted.

Update: Just for the record seeing it through your screenshot, I thought that tile was absolutely horrible. Pitty, I liked it when I was making it.

Ah well, nothing ventured, nothing gained, mate. Respect to you for having a bash, anyway. *salute*

One more problem, though... I can't seem to switch off the windowed-mode for the editor. It stays the same after I've removed the '-w' tag in the Target box. Any help, gents?

Flamescreen just asked that question over here.

I've send the two newest versions of the tile(one for each of the basic 2 sides, the other 2 are just a color game). I think I've corrected the alignment-bounding box problems, but tell me about it. If its o.k. tell me if you like the current art or should I rework it(try at least).

Also tell me if you're not interested any longer in it. I got that impression from your last post. Don't worry, I have an elephant's skin when I want to. :) If so, I'll just rework it to my liking and to my purposes. I don't do this professionally, so it's not a big deal, really.

Btw, which screen resolution are you using for the game? I noticed in the screen shot that the tile(s) were much bigger than I supposed they would. I'm making stuff for the highest resolution available, so if you're having a lower one it will look way more crap than it should. The lesser the resolution the easier you spot the errors, as I didn't use a rendering program.

I just sent my gaspump-tile to Flamescreen and StevieD. If anyone else wants it, please let me know.

Heh, damnit if it is half as good as your other tile it would be a hell of a tile!

Flame,

I'm afeared that elephant-hide is going to come in handy, because, in a play on the title of this thread, the good AND bad news is that Senor Deluxe's gas/petrol-pumps 0wn. Seriously.

BTW, my graphics resolution is set to 800 x 640 by default, in answer to your question. :)

Not that I want to put you off tile-modding, but El Deluxe has the skills in spade-fulls, mate.

Senor Deluxe,

With your permission, I should like to use, and distribute with my final map, your tile. Naturally, full credit would be given with the readme that gets bundled in with the map .zip file.

I've not mucked about with the entities editor yet much at this stage, so I can't give an opinion on the original FO 10mm Pistol and Ammo sprites, yet. But if they are anything like the accompanying .jpgs you sent, then they, too, ahem... 'R0xx0rs'. ;)

Regards to both,

Steve :)

Yeah, I just checked before coming here and its extremely good looking. Damn I thought I would goet here before you and admit defeat :) . I didn't stand a chance there. Still i can use my tile for other uses, it depends on what you use it on.

Senor Deluxe is very good at tile making, i'm wondering if he will do other tiles, everybody could use them. Btw, Senore what did you use for the upper portion of the tile?

Lastly, I think Senore and Ed the Monkey, also lorigosolo, should get together and join your skills. You could really make something nice.

Uh, thanks SD, thanks Flame!!!
Of course, everyone can use the stuff I submit, that´s what I made it for! Since I´ll probably never finish a single map, I´d be happy if at least some of my tiles/sprites make it into other peoples maps. ;)

Flame, I´ll check your tiles tomorrow, as I´m sitting in front of a Mac right now. I´m not sure what you meant by "upper portion of the tile" -the whole thing is modelled in Rhino, if that´s what you were asking. And yes, I WILL make more tiles, as much as I´ve got the time to.

I like the gas pumps you made SD. How did you go about it?

Senor,
Don't bother. I should stick with 3D on it. I am right now in fact for something I want to do.
