Kick-Ass was pretty awesome. I give it 8 Spazmos out of 5 Megatrons.

Just saw it, enjoyed it, thanks for the recommendation Poops :salute:

Anyone notice a song from 28 Days Later (In The House/In a Heartbeat) used during the lumber warehouse shootup?

I'm fucking psyched! Personally I thought Deathproof was the weaker of the grindhouse double-feature, so this shit better be da bomb.

Agreed. Though seeing him whine and cry after being shot was quite funny.

On a different note, kick ass does indeed Kick fucking ass. Now I have to add that I couldnt give a shit about Mr. Kick-Ass and his lame love-affair with Ted Mosbys daughter (though she is hot), but Nicholas Cage is actually really fucking good in this one, and the little girl is damn good at brutal murder with a twinkle and a smile. I left the cinema happy and envigorated. +1

Yeah, every now and then Cage is in a movie where I don't hate him fanatically. This and Lord of War come to mind, though 30-seconds-to-mars-singer-guy helped the latter alot.

All this thread needs is an angry post from Popscythe about how he doesn't like it on account of the fact it's making money.

The only part about Kickass that I would have changed would be that I'd keep Nicolas Cage alive. This is one of the very few movies that I wasn't hoping for his death the entire time. His character was very awesome. Although McLovin as a villain in the sequel might be kind of meh

I think its a movie that'd have a terrible sequel. Alot of its charm was from the whole father/daughter thing and how funny it was to see a little girl running around stabbing people.

A sequel would remove that, a; because Big Daddy dies (spoiler), and b; she probably wouldn't be that young and innocent anymore. Finally I can predict the entire plot being "kick-ass is forced out of retirement against his gf's wishes or to save his gf and asks hit girl to help who's foster father is over protective and doesn't want her in danger"
