The only thing epic about GK was the stack of floppies it took up. I just remember being frustrated as fuck with that game.
Simple tasks like finding a pen to write on a piece of paper were blown to such a high degree of importance that by the time you got to an actual cool part of the game you were so dumbfounded by monotony that the effect was nullified. But to each his own. I liked Full Throttle.

You do a pretty good job at insulting yourself by constantly demonstrating your limitless debility.Retlaw83 wrote:No, I'm a man that speaks truth because it's the truth. You know Frank Klepacki did the soundtracks for all the C&C games we're discussing, right?Alister McFap II Esq. wrote:You're like a little child that just says NO out of defiance. How old are you again?
But hey, you at least managed to come up with a joke that didn't involve fat. You keep trying and maybe one day you'll come up with an insult.

Also, the mega man soundtrack. It was composed by several people but over all it's some of the most memorable music there is. Together with Castlevania. And Metal Slug. Speaking of slugs, I will ignore Retlaw from now on, because he's obviously mentally disabled and it's not cool to argue with tards.

Fuck they really don't make music like this any more. Back then people were limited by means of graphics and music, and they had to actually be CREATIVE!!!!
Here some links to mega man X music... might as well post my favorites:

Stop trying to be pedantic, you lot. Everyone knows Generals shits all over its predecessors. If you're going to play a RTS just for the sake of it being old, at least do it properly.
Otherwise, some usual suspects:
-Syndicate (cannon fodder meets XCOM)
-Starlord (elite+empire building)
-Beneath a Steel Sky, Blade Runner (point/click)
-Dark Earth (post-apoc 3rd person adv)
-Shadowrun SNES (RPG)
-Strange Adventures in Infinite Space (elite in 10 mins minus the trading)
yadda yadda
You got Bloodnet if you've got some balls. Been looking to try it but it just sounds like an awful amount of trouble.Psychoul wrote:I have actually been looking for a good classic game myself...
but more specifically i have been looking for a good space game, or a science fiction game.
anyone know of any?
not eve-online i already know about that one.
and not x series games. anything else though is worth a suggestion
STRATEGY GAMES
RPG
ACTION (less of that)

Why stop at that when you can mention something that actually changed the face of electronic music?Alister McFap II Esq. wrote:Fuck they really don't make music like this any more. Back then people were limited by means of graphics and music, and they had to actually be CREATIVE!!!! (...)

That avatar would have you going from a german pornstar to an international pornstar.
Truth be told I thought Generals was an okay strategy game, but it was a piss poor Command and Conquer game because none of the interface was the same, it didn't fit into any of the settings, and the core gameplay was changed.
If they didn't have C&C at the beginning of it and just called it Generals I probably would have liked it more.
