They ARE NOT ghouls. They're men wearing glowing shit over them. No one ever mentions they are ghouls, people actually talk about glowing ghosts. They're just as fake as those stalked people outside. The reason why they look like ghouls is that there was no sprite just for those "puff-ghosts".

The ghost farm is inhabited by a group of people called Slags, this group consists of Ghouls and Humans.
True, there are no Ghouls in the true sense as in they are the left overs from necropolis but they are radiation damaged humans and techincaly Ghouls.

They are not ghouls. They're humans wearing silly glowing sheets => they pretend to be ghosts. It's a GHOST FARM. Some of slags harvest the crops, some of slags wear those phosphore covered sheets and keep intruders away.

Notice that there is not A MENTION of ghouls when you talk to the Slag's leader, instead everything you say and do in VC and Gecko involves the word "ghouls" in every sentence.

so your saying that a group of people living underground not in a vault wouldnt get soem radiation damage and that none would turn into ghouls. Its a given that a few would be ghouls

Now you're just being picky, the slags lived underground since the war/destruction, they havent been in a vault, just underground so they havent had much protection to radiation, so therefore would be likelier to have become ghouls or suffered from mutations.
And the people living above ground arent ghouls, because the most they have been exposed to is background radiation, radioactive goo or radiated water.

They're not ghouls. They are called "Glowing Ones" and give the illusion of being ghouls so everyone stays away from the farm.

That's what I'm trying to point out, but this buddy here doesn't seem to understand :)

I'm not sure if Slags were there before the war... anyways, the whole farm has been built AFTER war. Well duh, do you think they were growing radioactive wheat when the bombs hit? Or right after it?

My guess is that they're some random scavengers and survivers who dug a hole in the ground to hide from the darker side of the mankind but they were there for too long - the generation which used to live above ground had died and these people couldn't make it in the outside world anymore. You know, feeling like they would "fall to the sky" or something.

There are glowing ones there, which were effected by the radiation. Why would they have people dressed up in the shelter, underground, where there is no one to scare? Why would the dressed up people have to hobble, be unable to use weapons, and cannot run?

There are no ghouls in the ghost farm, just because they didn't make a custom sprite for the slags wereing the phosphours fungus doesn't mean shit

They arn't ghouls. Read what the guy says, they were the phosphours fungus and chains to scare people away. so they look like ghost. THEY ARE NOT GHOULS!!

well maybe the designers on fallout 2 should have made the slags not act like ghouls, as duc said
- they move like ghouls
- fight like ghouls
- and die like ghouls.
now i know after replaying that mission that they are not ghouls but as far as gameplay is concerned those people are ghouls.
And as the slag leader said: the slags went and remained underground during the war, they were part of a military group (i think).
(Common sense here) In an area witout radiation shielding their ancestors would have most likely mutated albeit slightly. Hence making latent ghouls which would explain why there are ghouls there. but again to finish the comments... they are not ghouls

....and on an unrealted comment why do arrogant people (not naming anyone, im sure you can figure out who those are) think that nOOb or newbie is an derogatory term? so a person has less experience at a game or is less obessed, that person deserves to be mocked???

I would think that living underground would give them at least some protection from the radiation. If they were members of a militia group like bbill said, they would probably have anti-rads.
