STALKER was cancelled. Everything about it is quietly being erased. THQ, the publisher no longer refers to STALKER anywhere, they missed E3, promised to go to GGC but are missing that, all stores are dropping peorders, the multiplayer beta is a year overdo, developers aren't talking and the one or two that does sends outdated info and/or lies. Fuck 'em. You can't trust the Russians.

oh fuck. well my stalker-excitement level went down months (was it years?) ago, and this was kinda predictable. if they can't tame the "word simulation system" (or something), they could've at least release the multiplayer with that neat engine. oh fuck.
BTW, you know they're Ukrainians and it's a different nation, don't you...

I'm still around, but not as much as the past. Taking a bit of a break during the summer mainly because there's nothing happening online and I have more work than usual to do. In a couple weeks I hope to be back.

GSC dropped co-op play over a year ago.

Ukranians are still Russians. They're considered the extreme lower class. The folks from Moscow look down on them.

You can tell STALKER is fallout influenced; we've been waiting for a Fallout sequel for 7 years now. They're only trying to live up to the expectations. Or maybe they got cancer on their excursion to Chernobyl.
